"I needed to replace the roofing from my home because it’s been 30 years. They came in and gave an estimate the next day. They worked with me on price and advised me on what shingles were better and prices. They arrived on time and finished pretty fast. They got the job done."

"Anthony Orozco, owner, and his crew did an amazing job of locating the cause of my roof leak under my tile roof and repaired it completely. They arrived on time and took pictures of the repair from start to finish! Anthony is very fair in his pricing and I am very pleased. Don't hesitate to contact Anthony and ask for his evaluation and cost estimate. Iantha M., Morro Bay, CA"

"The final bill is over contract by $1,100. Total paid $13,600 the contract was $12,500. It took a long time to complete. Contract signed on 07/07/20. The job is ending today 07/22/20. The roof is great. The termite damaged wood work is their downfall, They are still working on fixing it before I give them the final payment."

"Fantastic experience from start to finish. He completed my roof in seven days with excellent craftsmanship and real attention to detail. He secured every part of the roof before the top layer, added new vents positioned perfectly around my solar panels, and even helped paint the trim before the gutters went on. Truly above and beyond — highly recommended."

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Roofers can install roof vents. Updating, upgrading, or simply replacing your roof's existing vents is common when installing a new roof. If you're looking to upgrade your ventilation system with a powered version, a local HVAC professional can also help with the task. If adding roof vents to your home is necessary while installing an addition or during other renovation work, your contractor will handle or hire out the venting work.

It’s possible to install your chimney cap in some areas, but it’s usually better to hire a professional. Before you attempt a DIY chimney cap installation, check to see if your local building department requires a permit. If it does, you should hire a professional to pull the permit and complete the work for you. Even if you don’t need a permit, getting up on your roof is dangerous, especially if you have an aggressive pitch or slippery roof material, like metal. Hiring a chimney professional guarantees the job is done correctly and keeps you safe from injury.

An improperly installed skylight could potentially impact your roof's warranty. This happens because roofing penetration is necessary during skylight installation. Check your warranty information to verify. In most cases, having skylights professionally installed with proof that flashing is being done to specifications can be enough to preserve your roof's warranty.

A roof pitch that’s too shallow won’t shed runoff as quickly, so you have an increased risk of water intrusion through the seams between your roofing materials. In colder climates, snow and ice will accumulate more easily on your roof, which can add enough weight to cause roof collapse and structural damage to your home.

Whether you should choose a flat roof or a sloped roof depends on your particular situation. Flat roofs tend to be less expensive to install. However, sloped roofs have longer lifespans and stand up better to heavy snow and other inclement weather.

Keep in mind that even a flat roof needs to have a slight slope, usually around 1/2 inch for every foot. If it is completely flat, water will pool and cause damage, either from weight or leakage or rot.
