"The man who fixed my stained glass piece was Chris. He was very prompt in getting back to me after I initially contacted him. He was very polite and had it fixed very quickly. The quality of work was excellent! Great man and very good at what he does for sure. Would definitely ask for his business again! :0)-"

"We could not be happier with our new bathroom, thanks to McCormick! Khaled was knowledgeable and really took the time to understand our style preferences. The whole team was great about keeping the workspace tidy, which we appreciated. Now, we have a bathroom that feels luxurious and welcoming. Highly satisfied with their work!"

"My husband and I purchased the house in last August and needed to get windows tinted to block the direct sunlight since there was no second floor above the living room and half the windows were placed very high without any window coverings.  We met with a few people for free estimates and decided to go with Robert of Tint San Diego since his estimate was in our price range and he seemed knowledgeable about his trade.  Robert and his assistant arrived on time on the day of installation and started prep for the job.  Since there was no window covering on most of the windows, it was easy for them to install the films.  They efficiently worked and finished the job in about four hours.  He installed tint films on three small windows for free, and there was no charge for removing existing films.  My husband and I are very pleased of their work and will hire them again if we need to tint more windows in the future.

"North Coast replaced my windshield and looks like a great job at a reasonable price. I searched online on Sunday for auto glass services. I found North Coast Auto Glass and filled in the request-a-quote message form. I received a reply within a couple hours (although I hadn't expected a reply until the next day). We agreed on a time for Monday. They came on time, acted professionally, and supplied a quality windshield. I can tell that they stand by their work. I would use North Coast Auto Glass again and I recommend them."

"Overall, excellent. Freddy, the owner, washed the windows and screens with professionalism and quality. We scheduled about 1 1/2 weeks in future. There was a small hiccup, because he lost his phone and with it, all his appointments. Thus, he did not show up at 8:00 as expected. However, at 8:15 I texted him and he apologized, explained the problem and came as quickly as he could. It was a bit inconvenient for me to be delayed and I had to juggle as few of my commitments. I felt that he understood that and thus gave me a very reasonable discount on the work. He did a small extra without complaint, so I added to the compensation. I felt that he was a nice person to work with and despite his phone issue, he took care of the work and took pride in customer satisfaction. I have recommended him to friends and would use again."

Glass Block questions, answered by experts

Regular cleaning with non-abrasive cleaners helps prevent buildup and maintains clarity.

Yes, professionals can install decorative or colored glass block patterns for a unique look.

Although glass block windows are made of multiple layers of thick glass, they can still break. If an individual block shatters, it can be removed and replaced, but this is a job for a window repair professional. The project is often complex and may require breaking the block further for removal. Do not attempt to handle it yourself, as the broken glass can be dangerously sharp. A professional will have the necessary tools and expertise to replace the broken glass block quickly and safely. Before hiring, confirm that the repair pro has experience with this specific type of window.

DIY is possible for small projects, but professional installation ensures proper sealing, structural integrity, and a precise finish.

New glass costs anywhere from $3 to $100 per square foot. More specifically, tempered and insulated glass—a common option for sliding glass doors—costs between $10 and $14 per square foot.
