They take there time to set up plastic and ram board to protect all the finish surfaces in the house. "We hired Juan and his team to smooth out textured drywall in our house (wall and ceiling), going to a Level 5 finish. They did an amazing job, quality was top notch, attention to detail was amazing. I had absolutely no stress as Juan took care of the things like he was working for his own house project, he did not need to be told, he found issues and fixed them. This is not easy stuff, not something you can just look at You Tube and fix. Requires skill and patience. Required 3 coats of plaster with sanding in between. One coat a day. Lot of work!!! and final product was amazing!!! He also kept everything clean and protected as he knew we lived in the house during the actual work. Cleaned up at end of every day. Will certainly hire him the next time for similar work."

"The guys from Valley View Landscaping worked hard and did a very nice job on my Turf install. They cleaned everything up at the end and during the whole install you could tell they were professional. My wife and I are very pleased with how well the install went and how beautiful it looks, would hire them again."

"I hired this company to install new sod on my property they were really nice and professional and explained all the questions I had for the after care, I also contacted them a couple days after installation due to some corners on the patches turning dark or drying out and explain that since it?s real grass I had to give it a couple days or weeks to allow it to root well and new grass will grow. It?s been almost a month and my lawn looks great"

Wall Repair FAQs, answered by experts

Railroad ties can be good for retaining walls, but it depends on the area. They have a desirable rustic look and are durable. The problem is they’re treated with creosote, a preservative the EPA says poses a risk to humans and wildlife. Over time, the preservative seeps out of the wood and into the ground. Many areas have banned the use of creosote-treated wood on residential properties. If your area does allow it, never use railroad ties near an edible garden or drinking water source. Instead, use wood that’s treated with an EPA-approved preservative or a wood-alternative composite material.

To maintain the integrity of your landscape, a retaining wall must be installed if the slope of the angle exceeds 35 degrees. The lean of the wall must be 1 inch per 12 inches in height to disperse the weight of the soil uniformly and guarantee the correct drainage of the soil.

Proper design and construction prevent erosion and add structural stability to landscapes.

Most railroad tie retaining walls have a life span of 20 to 30 years, though you may need to replace your wall sooner if it’s repeatedly exposed to heavy rain, runoff, and excess moisture. Railroad ties are typically treated with creosote, which makes them much more durable than untreated wood. Though they last longer, they don’t last forever. For the most longevity, make sure your retaining wall has a sturdy base and steel reinforcements. You should also install drainage to direct water away from the wall.

Regular inspection for issues like cracks or leaning and ensuring drainage stays clear.
