"Could not get a firm price over the phone but agreed to the $ 89.00 minimum charge for them to come out and estimate with the understanding that, worst case, I could apply the $ 89.00 to just the haul away portion of the job. Once the technician wanted over $ 1,000 more than the $ 1,595 "base price" originally discussed to install the new water heater, (which was more than $ 700 more than another company had already quoted me), I said let's just do the haul away of the old one, and the technician said "we are an all-or-nothing-company" and that he would not haul away the old unit if I was not having the new one installed. I said that was not what was told to me on the phone and the technician said they record all their calls and he had "played the tapes" of my calls before he came. A strange claim, but okay, so I said "play the tape again" and he said "I don't need to play it again". If there had really been a tape and a misunderstanding we could have gotten to the bottom of it, but clearly he had no interest in that. I can accept high pressure sales and bait-and-switch tactics as techniques some companies will use to do business, but not drawing a line at dishonesty and abuse tells me this company does not know how to treat people right or do business ethically. I won't call this company again, ever."

Hand tools are periodically dipped in rubbing alcohol to further help destroy germs. These may seem like extreme measures, but we take your health and the health of all our employees seriously. The engineer Eric who came out the week before actually inspected the roof platform , ducts , room vents and accurate square footage and recommend ½ ton less package which saved me some money too . Great warranty on Goodman unit and their 2 year labor warranty . The staff person Lorraine got me through the finance process and gave me a more than fair price than others and flagged the license of a competing solo guys bid that was actually not his but a plumber I had never heard of . It is worth going with an established solvent company so the warranty is meaningful and a comfort after such a big purpose. On the roof the re piping and vent attaching , and condensation escape tube were very tidily and elegantly done . I hope to do a mini split with them in the future on another unit."
