He fixed the problem but very expensive. He didn't have the right material with him so charged me $141.00 to return to install parts he could have installed while he was there if he had the parts. I probably could have installed new sinks for the price he charged me to install 2 new faucets on the old sinks. His final bill was $923.89.

We have used Richard for a number of jobs. One of my initial reasons for selecting him was that he had an hourly rate at the low end of the range. I subsequently found that his effective rate was closer to the middle of the range, because he seemed to take more time than other plumbers. I was curious as to why this was so, and I watched him work. Well, I was pleased to see that he takes special care that each step is done just right, which takes time. Example: While screwing a shower pipe into the wall, it didn’t make it all the way around to point in the downward direction. So instead of just turning the pipe back to the previous point where it pointed downward again and moving on—- Richard removed the pipe and the sealing tape, added new sealing tape and re-screwed the pipe to the first point where it pointed downward. The tape seal was assured to have correctly sealed the pipe. So, Richard is meticulous and conscientious, vital qualities in a plumber.,But he is also neat and pleasant to deal with.

Richard came out on a Sunday before Memorial Day. This was the day after we called him. He got the job done in about two hours. The new disposal works fine. He also made some recommendations for additional work that we found reasonable. We plan to have him back to do that work after the pandemic has receded. We think he is reliable, honest, skilled, and that his work is reasonably priced.

Our toilet was doing a poor job flushing through and getting progressively worse. In addition, the surface was stained and couldn’t be cleaned. We were ready to chuck it and get a new one. Richard responded quickly to our to call and determined that it needed an acid wash to remove built-up deposits in addition to new guts. He came back the next day and got it working well and looking clean as a whistle.

Replaced old pipe with new copper, looks great and performs as it should. Richard was on time to start, finished the job when he said he would be done, and charged what we had agreed to.

Richard is a friendly, HONEST, knowledgeable & perfection driven plumber. He completed a difficult task, recommended & completed associated tasks, like replacing old connector faucets to sink & dishwasher. Richard cleaned & tuned up a garbage disposal that I had asked him to replace! He did not see the need for a new one & saved me $300 by servicing the existing one! Richard checked my water pressure & tuned up bathroom sink faucets at no charge. He is my first call for plumbing needs!

Richard returned my initial VM and was able to schedule very promptly on a Saturday in December which another plumber I had used was unable to do, so I was very happy about that. While he did arrive about 30-40 minutes late, he texted me before his scheduled arrival time to let me know that he was enroute, so no big deal for me. His demeanor was very pleasant and friendly while being professional at all times. At one point, Richard made a good suggestion which was to replace the sink faucets with polished chrome faucets which would match everything else instead of brushed nickel faucets. This necessitated him having to come back the next weekend which he was able to schedule no problem. Overall, I'm very happy with the work that he did. He cleaned up his work area leaving it as he had found it, if not even cleaner. While his $110 hourly rate was a bit more than other plumbers have charged me, I was happy that he was able to perform the work so well and at a date/time that accommodated my busy schedule. I would definitely consider using him again.
