"This was my first purchase of a Angie's List special.  I am very pleased with this company.  The provided excellent communication, prompt response, on-time arrival and a bargain for the amount of work that was done.  They restored the areas I requested.  I would recommend them and WILL definitely use them again.
I choose this company because the work to be performed was minor & it seemed to me that several of the granite companies were looking for bigger jobs, based on the amounts of money that was spent by reviewers.  I use this technique often for vendors.  I do not like to be overcharged, nor do I like compnaies to try to sell me additional stuff.  I use a "don't contact me - I'll contact you" approach and do not like unsolicited marketing or advertising (including from Angie's List).
I bought the service over the weekend.  The owner contacted me during the weekend to let me know that he was not able to telephone me because the number listed in my Angie's List account was old and was no longer my number.  I gave 3 dates for the work to be performed, and they were able to come out this morning - just a few days after requesting the service (and over a weekend).
The technician arrived at about 8:30 am - the service was scheduled beween 8-10 am.  I showed him what I wanted done and he began work immediately.  He worked quietly and efficiently.  He was here nearly two hours and restored the areas I requested.  There was no extra charge and he did not try to sell me anything else (I like that).  I am very pleased with the work and the price.  Last week I hired a plumber that charged me $99. just to get to the house!

"It worked out pretty well. There was only one little glitch and that was in the buying of the faucets and that turned out to be a little fiasco but other than that everything turned out well. I guess the price was alright, what happened is I had to have a lot more things done. Actually, I figured it was around 50 something feet. The end result was it cost me $4600.00. Originally, they said it was going to be around $1400.00 but with the sinks and they really kind of took me on the faucets. They were about double the price. The work was neat and whatever. The extras were more than I thought they would be. The one thing that was screwed up was my fault to a degree and their fault to a degree. What happened was I had the counters put in and then I said I wanted to put in a six inch backsplash. Now, what happened was in my 3 installations that were going to go in, there was a mirror that was going to go in. Really, what happened was they ripped it up and when they were going to put it in and the back splash they should not have made it a 6 inch, they should have made it after the rip out was how it was going to be because what happened is now I have a half inch on one side between the mirror and what I'm trying to fix with tile and 3/4 of an inch in another area. So, basically, it became a little bit of a nightmare for me but I'm straightening it out. I can do a lot of work myself but at the same token that's why I hired them. It would have made it a whole lot easier for me if when they took the top off if they would have measured to the mirror and then it would have wound up it would have been tight.
I would use them in the future but I would set different parameters."

"Our wonderful remodeling job was done by Best builders group & their awesome team. After shopping around for more than few months for a good home improvement company, we got to Best builders group. The project manager was easygoing, skilled, honest and perfectionist!! For sure there was no pressure of any kind which caused us to feel very comfortable with him. "John and the staff at Alden's Carpet and Drapes are absolutely the best.  They're friendly, knowledgeable and work to your schedule.   We installed new carpet in two large master bedrooms, a hallway, landing and stairs.  The installation crew arrived at 7:30 AM, moved all the furniture, including an upright piano, had the old carpet and padding removed and new padding and carpet installed and the furniture back in place before 11:00 AM.  These guys are the greatest."
