"I had a lead in the downstairs bathroom and had no idea where the water buildup was coming from. Called Worthington Plumbing-Edward, owner, and helper arrived early next morning. Investigated obvious sources and discovered that angle stops in faucets were bad and suggested replacing both faucets. Edward went to Home Depot for needed items and installed new faucets. Then checked other locations to determine if problems existed. Very friendly and professional-I would recommend Worthington Plumbing to anyone."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

As a preventative measure, hydro jetting should be done every one to two years. However, the best practice is to hydro jet your sewer line once per year. The ideal frequency depends on several factors, including the age and condition of your pipes, how prone they are to clogging, how often the sewer line is used, and the type of waste disposed of in the system. If you frequently experience clogs or are unsure, it's best to ask a licensed plumber for a recommendation specific to your plumbing system.

Clearing typically takes 1-2 hours, depending on the blockage size and location.

Professional plumbers use many high-grade chemicals to unclog drains. Many use hydrochloric acid, known as muriatic acid, when it comes to extreme blockages.

Baking soda and vinegar is a great solution for cleaning your sink drain; in fact, it’s our preferred method. Here’s how to unclog your drain with baking soda and vinegar: Pour in a half cup of baking soda, then 1 cup of white vinegar, and let the two bubble for 15 minutes. Then rinse out with boiling water. This method is much safer than using a chemical drain cleaner gel.

There are several signs that can indicate your leach lines are broken, failing, or in need of repair, including puddles of water or a marshy consistency to the ground above or around the pipes, slow drainage or plumbing backups inside your home, and noticeable odors or gurgling sounds coming from your leach field. Keeping your septic system properly maintained, including having your septic tank pumped at regular intervals, can help ensure your leach lines stay in good working order for a long time.
