"It was better than we expected as our bathtub surround was old and when they finished it, it looked amazing and so bright in our bathroom. They also resurfaced our vanity top and sink and it also looks brand new. The 2 men who did our project were professional and just so nice. They also resurfaced my sisters bathtub and she is so happy with her work. It is so hard to get good service and to have a company so involved with making a customer happy and that is just what we got and would recommend Residential Bath to everyone.. Thank You Rae and your workers!!!!"

"We remodeled our home in Oakland in April of 2019. We are more than pleased with the result! The outstanding part of the project was the hands-on work of the team. The project managers were attentive to detail and full of good ideas, too! The quality of the workmanship was outstanding. In every way, the process was smooth and enjoyable. It was our pleasure to welcome them into our home!"

"We hired Ovation Restoration for a major home remodel, including adding a bathroom to the main floor, renovating three bathrooms, and installing a picture window in the family room. From start to finish, Ovation exceeded expectations with a clear, well-thought-out proposal, reasonable costs, and exceptional quality. The team, led by Juan and Chad, was professional, meticulous, and detail-oriented. Jessica ensured flawless material selection, ordering, and delivery with superb planning. Rick, the owner, provided excellent communication, accessibility, accountability, and flexibility, which made the process stress-free. The results were stunning and beyond our expectations. We’ve already recommended Ovation to friends—one has even signed a contract! We highly recommend Rick and the Ovation team for any remodeling project."

"I had the pleasure of working with Ofer Gabay for the replacement of two front planters at my property, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience! From the initial visit to assess the project, Ofer provided a clear and detailed breakdown, including labor costs and material options. Their transparency about pricing and materials made it easy to make informed decisions. Communication was prompt, professional, and courteous, with flexibility to accommodate my preferences. The project was scheduled efficiently, and the quality of craftsmanship exceeded my expectations. The new planters look fantastic, with impeccable attention to detail, including the painting. I highly recommend Ofer Gabay for their reliability, expertise, and outstanding service!"

"Saw the reviews on Angie's List and sent them a message through their online website.  I got a call later that day and scheduled for a Friday appointment.  On the day of the appt, they called to see if they could come earlier since they had finished a job faster than expected.  I agreed and was appreciative of the call.
The plumber took a look at the plumbing and called in to get a quote for me.  He told me the price up front and needed to pick up the correct parts from the local hardware store.  The guy was very efficient and even secured the new plumbing with a bracket to assure that it was strong and stable.
The awesome part was he even took a look at a slow kitchen faucet for me at no extra charge.  He was able to determine that I didnt need to update the plumbing and that I just needed a new kitchen faucet.
I wouldn't hesistate to call them again."

Bathtub Restoration questions, answered by experts

No. You should let the caulk completely dry before you expose it to moisture. It’s safest to wait at least a full day before showering where you’ve recently caulked. Showering before caulk is fully dry can lead to a poor seal, meaning water can seep into cracks and cause damage and mold growth.

The cost to refinish a bathtub is $490 for most homeowners. However, this cost can range from $200 to $1,000 or more, depending on your tub's material and condition.

For example, enamel and cast-iron bathtubs are pretty straightforward to refinish, costing between $350 and $600. However, if you have an antique claw-foot tub, you can expect to pay between $500 and $1,200 for refinishing costs due to the care and complexity needed.

A bathtub liner can be a good idea if your budget is your top concern when planning a bathroom remodel. Installing a new bathtub liner can give your bathroom the look of a complete renovation without the high price tag. But, it’s somewhat of a band-aid fix and won’t work for all homes, like if you have a freestanding tub.

We don’t recommend using a tub liner to cover up cracks in a bathtub. Instead, you should repair the cracks yourself if you have the experience or hire a pro. Cracks may seem like small surface imperfections, but they can lead to much larger issues, so repair them as soon as you can.

There are a few signs, both obvious and not so obvious, that it's time to refinish your bathtub. While some of these signs aren't an urgent problem, others could lead to significant damage if left untreated. Signs you should look out for include:

  • Rust stains, which signal the tub's enamel or surface sealer is deteriorating

  • Small chips, which can grow into larger chunks and can lead to rusting

  • Discoloration, which doesn't lead to a more significant problem but can be unsightly

  • Dirty surfaces, which means that the tub glaze is breaking down and allowing dirt to seep below the coating
