"Troys drywall and texturing for our custom home was amazing! I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, Troy exhibited professionalism, expertise, and exceptional attention to detail and he is just a great guy. The communication throughout the project was outstanding. Troy kept us informed every step of the way, from the initial consultation to the completion of the job and it worked out great with the other subs. When it came to the actual work, the craftsmanship was impeccable. The texture is awesome and details amazing and was done with precision, and the finished walls look flawless. Troy worked efficiently and tidily. Not only did Troy deliver on their promise of high-quality workmanship, but they also demonstrated a commitment to customer satisfaction. They went above and beyond to ensure that I was completely satisfied with the results, and they didn't consider the job finished until I was 100% happy. I have recommended him for custom homes and fix and flips... Overall, I highly recommend Troy for anyone in need of drywall services. Their professionalism, expertise, and dedication to customer satisfaction truly set them apart from the competition. I will definitely be using their services again in the future."

"Victor immediately replied to my request for an estimate to insulate and drywall my garage. He showed up on time and even had pictures of his previous jobs and emailed me a professional estimate for the job. He completed the work in just a few days, even moved the furniture and items in there back and cleaned up afterward. He was reasonably priced and trustworthy."

"I had called Insulation Pros for an estimate with very short notice as well as two other companies. Conrad was the second person to give me a detailed estimate also was more then pleased to come out to my house and write me a real in hand quote. He was on time and very informative on the project. The following Monday the 2 professional men came to my house and did the job that I was promised and within the time that was allotted. Cleaned up and was off to the next shortly after seeing if I was pleased with the job. These guys are awesome. I do recommend Insulation Pros to anyone thinking about getting insulation done.
Thank you and all your staff.

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

Plaster provides a durable, soundproof, and moisture-resistant finish compared to drywall.

Although they have similar applications, spackle and joint compound are not the same. Their primary differences lie in their composition, consistency, and ideal use cases.

Spackle is composed of gypsum and binding agents, making it thicker than joint compound. It dries quickly and is easy to sand, which makes it ideal for small wall repair projects like filling nail holes or patching minor damage.

Joint compound, also known as drywall mud, consists of limestone and gypsum. It is primarily used for large-scale projects, such as taping and finishing the seams on newly installed drywall. It tends to shrink more than spackle and can be more difficult to spread.

While both products can be used to fill small depressions and cracks, spackle cannot replace joint compound for taping and mudding new drywall. Conversely, you can often use joint compound for small patching jobs typically done with spackle.

Yes, drywall can hold a 50-pound TV. However, when mounting a TV, you’ll either need to attach it to wall studs or use drywall anchors. If you use anchors, make sure to buy a type that can hold at least 50 pounds. Molly bolts, threaded anchors, and toggle bolts are all good options. For extra support, you can also install a wall mounting plate with the anchors.

Options include bricks, natural stone, and concrete blocks. Choose based on durability, aesthetics, and budget.

Vinegar and bleach are effective options for removing mold from drywall. Vinegar is a better choice if you have a smaller mold issue while bleach is best if you have a larger mold problem. If the area you're cleaning has limited ventilation, using vinegar would be a better option. In that case, you could mix vinegar with baking soda to remove more stubborn mold growth.
