This is one of those instances; I cannot say enough, good things about the professionalism of the employees at the office and those that showed up on site to install wall insulation. They showed up at the beginning of the two hour window, which was fantastic and explained everything with upfront pricing. We even asked for additional insulation and they were able to accommodate. Our home walls are now insulated and we even noticed a difference right away. From the time of arrival to completion they were nothing but exemplary. We decided on adding 8" of blown-in insulation to reduce our heating/cooling cost and to reduce the cycling of our HVAC system. They did a wonderful job of sealing any attic leaks, covers for our canned lighting fixtures, built a dam around our whole house fan, added baffles around our soffits, and added the insulation. Since our home was built in the 1950's, the insulation throughout the attic was minimal. We hired Insulation Commandos to survey and provide us with the appropriate solution. The solution involved removal of the old insulation, cleaning the area, and installing the correct insulation based on our homes location. "Me and my husband live in a condo in Los Angeles. About 6 months ago the neighbors upstairs rented their condo. The new neighbors are a family with two kids who are very sweet, but like to wake up early and throw stuff on each other. (At least thatâ s what itâ s sounds likeâ ¦) we talked to a few different contractors, most have offered us to inject insulation to the ceiling. We tried it, as it was not expensive, but, this did almost nothing. My husband who has very light sleep kept waking up every day at 5, what made our life very difficult. We did some due diligence and realized we need a much serious approach. When we talked to Eli at ELM, we understood right away thisbis the right contractor for us. His level of knowledge exceeded everyone else's, and he was wiling to make everything as clear as possible for us. The price wasnâ t cheap, as the construction included demo, installation of many materials and even lowering the ceiling. The project took about 2 weeks and we could see the difference right away. We could barely hear any thing!! What a huge difference! The crew were cleaning after every day of work and were very professional. "I wanted insulation blown in above the ceiling of my condo to lessen the noise from my neighbors above. Darren was very responsive and professional and knew exactly what I was looking for. The crew arrived on time, was very nice, and covered the house in plastic sheeting to protect everything from the incredible amount of dust created by drilling dozens of holes in the ceiling to shoot the insulation. Their subcontractor Robert arrived the next day to repair the holes and repaint the ceilings. He also was able to install can lights in my living room (separate job and quote from the job Attic Construction was doing). During installation of the lights, we discovered that some of the cavities that should have been filled by new insulation were not, due to a problem with the old insulation. One call to Darren and the insulation guys showed up early the next morning to take care of it. Robert the drywall guy and his helper Carlos did an amazing job repairing all the holes, you can't even tell that my ceiling looked like swiss cheese at one point. The reduction in sound coming from upstairs is noticeable due to the new insulation and I love my new lights. Be aware though that a job like this is incredibly messy and dusty but Attic Construction OC made it as easy as possible."
