"They were excellent. They carefully moved and wrapped all of my items making sure that nothing was lost or damaged in the move. They showed up exactly when they said they would and moved everything really fast. They were kind and courteous with excellent customer service skills. I would highly reccomend this company.??"

"I recently move with Qshark. I move my 3 bedroom apartment. I had a great experience the crew was efficient and fast. They arrive on time. They call me 30 minutes before arriving as promise. They help me pack my household goods . I was so nervous it was my first time moving but it was a very smooth and stress free move. The crew was very professional and polite. I will recommend them to my family and friends. Thank you Qshark !!"

"I had originally wanted this company to pack and move me -- it ended up that they could not actually moe me the day I needed it done. I hired another, actually more reliable set of movers (from the internet). Princess Packers packed things -- there were very fragile things I told them not to wrap -- but they did anyway -- okay. Many broken things were thrown away. Final analysis -- too expensive for a questionable outcome."

Piano Moving FAQs, answered by experts

Yes, you can very carefully lay down a grandfather clock to move it, but it requires a bit of prep work. Remember, all of your clock's components and mechanisms are delicate, and shifting them can cause serious damage. Before laying it down, you will need to remove these pieces, plus the weights and the pendulum.

Old pianos can be hard to sell for a few reasons. Pianos fifty years or older may only sell for several hundred dollars and will often cost more to transport to the new owners. Restoring a piano also costs well into the thousands, making it pretty hard to make your money back. In most cases, donating or recycling the parts of a piano is more cost-efficient and beneficial in the long run.

Yes, moving a piano often causes it to become out of tune, even if you're not moving the piano very far. One reason is that any temperature and humidity changes can affect a piano's tuning. Additionally, the bumps and jolts from a moving truck usually push a piano out of tune.

However, don't jump right to tuning it once the piano gets to your new home. Instead, it's best to wait at least two weeks for the instrument to acclimate to its new environment. After a couple weeks, you'll get an idea of what the piano will really sound like in its new home, at which point you can call a piano technician to get it properly tuned.

It’s not required. Some treadmills aren’t designed for dismantling, so you’ll need to move in one piece. Others can be quickly disassembled and reassembled, so taking them apart is a great way to save on space and make the move easier. Consult your treadmill’s user manual for more information and to find the best option.

Deciding whether it's worth it to hire movers depends on your budget, patience, and physical capabilities. It's difficult to gauge the amount of work that moving calls for, and it's easy to be off by about tenfold.

If you're able to call in some favors and round up friends to help, you might get through it just fine, but if you only have a few hands helping, things can quickly get overwhelming. Either way, bringing in the pros will save considerable time and stress, so if it's within your budget, it's a great investment.
