"They were excellent. They carefully moved and wrapped all of my items making sure that nothing was lost or damaged in the move. "G.A.M.E Inc, is a professional , top notch and out standing customer service. I recently purchased a rental property in Henderson, Nevada. My move was from Southern California to Nevada. I contacted G.A.M.E Inc and informed of my plan and my location for moving my show fully furnished warehouse and provided detail to the move from warehouse to new home purchase. G. A.M.E Inc went over and beyond. From initial quote, theyâ re follow up, invoice, details and insurance on move, date time and set up. I couldnâ t have asked for a better and secure moving company. I met with the owners and they were absolutely a great team. They took inventory, wrapped the furniture, secured the furniture with exceptional communication throughout the process. I would recommend to anyone. They are also licensed and serve military communities. Absolutely recommended!!!!"

Piano Moving questions, answered by experts

To make sure that your moving quote is fair, check current prices for hiring movers in your area. Your starting and final locations can affect the price. You should also make sure you include the cost of any specialty movers in your price estimate. Calculate your moving costs including the estimated expense of moving services and compare the figure to average costs in your area.

Before hiring a moving company to help you with your move, there are a few things you will want to ask, including:

  • Is there anything your company won’t move?

  • Does workers’ compensation cover the crew?

  • Will you disassemble and reassemble the furniture?

  • Are there packing restrictions?

  • Can you guarantee my delivery date?

  • Can you provide references?

  • What do you charge extra for?

  • What is your cancellation policy?

It's typically best to hire movers who specialize in moving pianos because moving them often requires specific equipment and finesse, especially when it comes to grand pianos. However, some standard moving companies have experienced piano movers on their team, so it never hurts to call a company and ask about their piano moving expertise.

In most cases, you don’t need to order food for movers. They will schedule breaks to eat throughout the day. However, you can provide drinks and snacks in an easy-to-access location for the movers to grab throughout the day.

Most upright pianos weigh between 500 and 1000 pounds. Other vertical pianos, which are sometimes confused with upright pianos, may be between 200 and 500 pounds. Spinet pianos weigh between 200 and 400 pounds, console pianos are 350 to 450 pounds, and studio pianos are 400 to 500 pounds.
