"We are delighted with the work done by Modern Home Remodeling, to install a classy tiled shower, repaint the interior and replace carpets. Their project manager clearly listened to our needs and wants = to freshen rather than redesign, to keep the oak vanities and good-condition countertops, to correct small “problems” that we’d lived with for decades, and to focus on changes that we’ll enjoy in the ten years that we still plan to live in this home. The tiled shower transformed the shower experience, brought spaciousness to a small room, and was done by an accommodating and experienced crew. "John did an excellent job on our wall and getting us through the permit and inspection process. It was a large project and the end result was excellent! The wall required a 4'x1' footing with an 18" key. The wall was laid and filled in multiple steps to accommodate the inspectors due to the size of the wall. Drainage was installed as per code and the backfill was compacted. It was finished with stucco giving it a nice appearance. The driveway was replaced during this project as the slope was wrong and water shed towards the house. Now all the water goes where it should! This project included demo of the old failing wall and the driveway."

After obtaining a few estimates, I chose Savon Pavers to change my front lawn from grass to artificial turf and pavers.  One of the main reasons for my decision was that after listening to my idea, the owner Jamie designed it, priced it, and pointed out other things I might like to do.  This was at the very first appointment.  I appreciated his design and suggestions, which enhanced the final project. All the extras that others hadn?t mentioned, sealer, plant drip system, front door steps, etc., he included so there were no surprises as the job proceeded.  For any questions or concerns I had, either Jamie or the Project Superintendent Saul promptly returned my calls or met me at the house.  Now every time I turn the corner and see my front lawn, I have a sense of satisfaction that not only am I saving water but also it just looks first class.  If you are planning to re-landscape, be sure to call Savon Pavers.  They do great work.

"I wanted pavers installed for my walkway.  I contacted several contractors and and found that the prices were all over the board.  I decided to go with Apollo Pavers due to the people there.  Although they are a small company you would think that they have all been through extensive customer training courses.  Everyone there from the receptionists, to the designer, to the owner were incredible.  As I saw how well the project was going I made changes and increased the scope of work to include the retaining wall, mow strip, and sprinklers.  They reacted quickly, and not only made the changes, but gave me great suggestions as to what would, and wouldn't look good.  I was thrilled with the experience from start to finish.  The quality of their workmanship, the product, and the responsiveness of everyone in the company made me a big fan.  I would never use anyone else."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
