"We are delighted with the work done by Modern Home Remodeling, to install a classy tiled shower, repaint the interior and replace carpets. Their project manager clearly listened to our needs and wants = to freshen rather than redesign, to keep the oak vanities and good-condition countertops, to correct small “problems” that we’d lived with for decades, and to focus on changes that we’ll enjoy in the ten years that we still plan to live in this home. The tiled shower transformed the shower experience, brought spaciousness to a small room, and was done by an accommodating and experienced crew. The project manager expedited the schedule, committing to a start date of February 20 but beginning the work a month earlier and finishing by February 28, 2023. "John did an excellent job on our wall and getting us through the permit and inspection process. It was a large project and the end result was excellent! The wall required a 4'x1' footing with an 18" key. The wall was laid and filled in multiple steps to accommodate the inspectors due to the size of the wall. Drainage was installed as per code and the backfill was compacted. It was finished with stucco giving it a nice appearance. The driveway was replaced during this project as the slope was wrong and water shed towards the house. Now all the water goes where it should! This project included demo of the old failing wall and the driveway."

After obtaining a few estimates, I chose Savon Pavers to change my front lawn from grass to artificial turf and pavers.  One of the main reasons for my decision was that after listening to my idea, the owner Jamie designed it, priced it, and pointed out other things I might like to do.  This was at the very first appointment.  I appreciated his design and suggestions, which enhanced the final project. All the extras that others hadn?t mentioned, sealer, plant drip system, front door steps, etc., he included so there were no surprises as the job proceeded.  For any questions or concerns I had, either Jamie or the Project Superintendent Saul promptly returned my calls or met me at the house.  Now every time I turn the corner and see my front lawn, I have a sense of satisfaction that not only am I saving water but also it just looks first class.  If you are planning to re-landscape, be sure to call Savon Pavers.  They do great work.

"It worked out well, but the gentleman wasn't prepare for a couple of things.  He needed gas for the machine.  We gave him some gas just to keep things moving.  He couldn't get the drain cap off and when he did, he said he would replace it.  He ended up putting the old cap back on and it leaked."

"We initially met with Account Rep, Jesus Herrera, to discuss the work.  At the time, we were considering two projects (front and rear) and Jesus happily provided separate estimates for each. Pricing was competitive compared to other bids, including one from a company we had used to install our patio a year and a half ago. We decided to proceed with the larger, rear project and delay the front project for a future date.
Once we accepted the bid, a start date was set that met our needs. On day one, Jesus arrived with the crew and personally laid out the job (serpentine walk) During the two days it took to complete the job the foreman and crew were very courteous and professional, keeping the areas adjacent to the work site neat and clean. They were able to blend the new construction with the existing patio and the finished product far exceeded our expectations.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
