It was clear that our house have some energy issues and was in need of a any type of energy overhaul.  The report that was prepared for us by Charlie and his office staff, was comprehensive, clear to understand and revealed that the ducts at the attic  was not sized appropriately. In addition to that, the furnace/AC in the smaller unit was old (and original) and had to be replaced. The recommendations that Charlie told us, included a new furnace/AC, new tankless water system, hot water pipe insulation, building sealing, the insulation and new ducting throughout the house. This was the best investment we ever made.  I could not believe the difference in our utilities bill.  Charlie and his team were great,  professional and experienced. " Mr. Joshua Brown is truly a professional handyman and an individual with strong character.  He skillfully and quickly hung all my paintings and mirrors the following day and had finished with the first coat of paint in the master bedroom when he decided to take a look at my brand new dryer that wasn't working.  I had a feeling that the person that had installed it for me had not done it properly.  Mr. Brown, tried several different scenarios that all led to the fact that the dryer was working properly--it was heating up the clothes but they were still wet.  Mr. Brown had the thought to go outside to the vent to feel the stream of air that the dryer should have been pushing out.  That's when Mr. Brown realized that no air was being pushed out by the dryer--he realized that there had to be something blocking the air flow to the outside which was why the clothes were heating up but the humidity had no where to go so the clothes stayed damp.  Mr Brown cleverly took a coat hanger and straightened it out and pushed it as far as he could down the tube that leads from the dryer to the wall, through the garage and to the outside--and pulled out a watermelon sized ball of NASTY lint, hair, dust, etc that had been stuck there for at least 10 years!  Like I said, I have just moved in to this place and was horrified by what he discovered and then relieved when he told me that if he had not detected this, not only would the dryer continue to not work but it was just a matter of time before I had a house fire.  The tightly packed pile of lint, dust, etc is HIGHLY FLAMMABLE and I believe that Mr. Joshua Brown saved my life that day. 
What I would like to say about Mr. Brown is that he doesn't give up when his first attempt at fixing something doesn't work.  He is tenacious and diligent and takes pride in his work.  His skills cross many disciplines from painting to appliances to construction.  One additional skill that he possesses which is hard to find, is that he is a visualizer.  I have several ideas for future projects and he was able to visualize my project and make recommendations and suggestions based on what I described.  I liked that I could kind of give him the overarching idea of what I wanted to do and he could tell me the exact steps to take to get me there.  I enjoyed his happy disposition and was very comfortable continuing on with my daily routines at the house while he was there.  I highly recommend Mr. Joshua Brown and will be using his services again myself very soon.

"Roberto was the technician and he was very professional, polite, and personable. He inspected the rest of our system and told us things that needed to be changed or repaired. He showed me pictures of everything. Everything he told me about was accurate. He quoted me a price for R38 insulation , Some of our ducts were plastic and he recommended them to be changed. I agreed completely and didn't know they were plastic. I would have had them done the work but I had no price comparisons to make and besides I didn't have the money right then. So he just finished the vent cleaning and left his card. He did a great job on the vent cleaning and was happy with the work."

"I had seen the advertisement for All Pest Pros in several Angie's List brochure.  The pictures were disgusting and I had a horrible feeling that they could have been taken in my attic. I put it off for over a year, but kept hearing noises in my attic and actually heard the sound of feet in a bedroom wall.  The noises of activity of some kind always were present when I went to bed each night.  I hired another company to check the attic and close some of the blatantly open holes that we thought would eliminate the problem.  They put traps in the garage, but I continued to hear suspicious noises at night.  Another advertising brochure came in the mail a couple weeks ago with the same advertisement that runs in Angie's List brochure.  I surrendered and gave All Pest Pros a call.  We scheduled an appointment and today Anthony Gordon came out.  He inspected from top to bottom and took lots of pictures.  He said he could smell urine when he came to the front door (just what a homeowner longs to hear). After the inspection, he gave me a bid to replace all the old insulation, clear out trash left by previous workmen and cover all the holes that allow rodents access.  I wasn't looking to spend money on that, but I could deny the problem no longer.  We set up a date for all the work to be completed on September 25.
I must compliment Anthony.  I so respect someone who is an expert in his field and I believe that he is.  He was thorough and explained everything he was doing, why and what he found.  He was considerate of my home, wore gloves, took off his shoes.  He couldn't have been more professional. Besides being professional, he is very kind.  I am grateful the company sent him as my inspector.
I will follow up after the work is completed, but I wanted to give my impressions after this first visit.  I have used one other company to try to eliminate the infestation, but it wasn't successful.  I am feeling very positive based on my experience with All Pest Pros and Anthony.

"Excellent. The rep showed up on time and did a very thorough job, complete with photos and a write-up of all the affected areas. He also gave a quote to perform both the exclusion work and to clean & replace the soiled insulation. I will be calling them to do both jobs shortly."

"They came on one day and tore out the old dirty system and installed the new system...they replaced my original metal ducting pipes with a mylar, insulated soft piping.  I thought they would perhaps "upgrade" the disposition of the system and perhaps solve the problem that the downstairs was always cold,  but they just replaced the conduits that were already there...except for one which they said was "inaccessible."  At the end of the day, I noticed that there was no "return" for the air system and mentioned that.  That's when I realized that they weren't really interested in providing a thoroughly "new" system, but just replacing what was there, whether or not it had been adequate.  I was told that I would have to pay for the additional time to open up a return (apparently there was an old one, but it had been boarded over.)  I agreed to do that and paid two hundred and forty dollars separately.  I had wanted them to line the return, since it was just a wooden "trough," but they wouldn't do that.

In any case, the system works and is much cleaner than what I had.  I am not pleased that the exhaust for the propane has its vent under part of the deck and so the fumes go into the downstairs bedroom. 

There was an issue with getting the final inspection and when the county called me about it, I called the company and they agreed to pay the penalty fee that had been incurred.  The inspector passed the system, but said there should have been insulation on the piping near where the propane gets ignited.  Also, there was an issue with the draining situation at the side of the tankless water heater . 

It is now a few years since the work was done and I notice that the big soft tubing that goes from the main heater occasionally falls off and I tuck it back. I'm not sure how well the soft piping will hold up.

They were extremely courteous to me at the start of the job, but did not have patience for my complaints as the job progressed. But I am thrilled that they accomplished getting the system changed!
