"Since this remodeling was the first remodeling that we decided to do after a long time since we did our last remodeling that required to hire a contractor to do it. All the low voltage lightings, the special insulation that they used, the extra protection that they installed in the window that I have in the kitchen and more… All of this features improved the energy protection at the kitchen. They followed up with me the following day after all the final documents were signed off by me about the work in order to make sure that I was happy with the final results. I have had them since 1994 because I like the service and stuff provided to me. I have several properties in Alabama and they have done work there too. I have not had any problems out of American Home Shield. Their responsiveness is one of the main reasons why I continue to use them. The price is included in my premium.

"We were pleased with the quality of the work. We can only vouch for the above three items, but the contractor has been doing work in northern California for many years, and seems very experienced. He was prompt and polite, and very conscientious.I think we got our money's worth, as the drywall and carpentry exterior work required skilled labor. In fact, the contractor was not able to complete the job in one day, and returned the next day to finish. This added a few more hours, which he included in the $295 we had prepaid. I had a couple of smaller jobs (caulking and varnishing a couple of floor boards) that we didn't have time for. 
I have no complaints, and would use this company again for handyman-type work without hesitation. One tip that I wish I had known in advance, is to have the contractor see the job beforehand, itemize the materials needed in advance, and purchase everything BEFORE coming to do the work. This would have saved us time, because several trips were made the day of.
