"Mike responded to my request for analyzing a running water sound which couldn't be found inside or underneath the house.  It was located at the main shut-off, which required the city of Sacramento to inspect to determine whether the repair was the responsibility of the property owner or the City.  It was determined to be the property owner's.  After turning the water off and back on, the action created a visible tear in the pipe due to the age and corrosion at the curb stop, which meant the City couldn't let the water continue to run out into the street, so the main line was shut off until I could obtain repair.  Within an hour, Mike then provided a reasonable estimate and confirmed an appointment for the next morning.  He took care not to disturb the irrigation system or the landscaping and had the repair completed within 3-1/2 hours.  He used copper pipes and a commercial grade coupler.  He was thorough in his explanation of the repair, and answered all of my questions expertly.  He also volunteered useful information to the homeowner pertaining to the upcoming city water meter installation.  I will definitely use The Plumbing Therapist again for future plumbing repairs.  Mike also returned the following week to add additional dirt to the hole where the repair was performed after the ground had settled at no additional labor cost.  Exceeded my expectations.  Good customer service!"

"Huft Home Services replaced my regular HVAC company when the owners retired. Comfort Master had installed my system in 1995 so we had a 25-year personal relationship. Ed and Donna were still using hardcopy records. When I called Huft on May 12 and talked with Elizabeth, we were able to confirm and establish the status of my ongoing services. We discussed the 2 different areas of work needed, HVAC regular maintenance and an urgent plumbing service for a leaking irrigation valve system. We scheduled the irrigation repair quickly, but I was very disappointed to discover that the repair person was unable to do that work and found out that Huft actually did not work on irrigation. Fortunately I was able to find a provider who came out the next day and did exceptional work – I highly recommend Authentic Landscape/Salvador Gallardo for that work. However, rather than make a complaint, I figured I'd wait to see how the HVAC service went. That appointment was scheduled for a couple weeks later. Anthony was fantastic. He called to let me know he was running late from his previous job. Maybe it was just because I wasn't up on current services, but I am highly impressed that he was able to take many photos of my system and his work – and instantly email them and my invoice to me! He went over in great detail the status of the equipment and anticipation of potential repairs needed over time along with likely cost estimates. We also discussed possible replacements for when I decided I was ready for a new unit. I will certainly continue my maintenance with Huft, and not just because I'm prepaid for a couple more years of biannual services."

"Let start by saying WOW!!! Great job 5 Star Plumbing. I needed to replace my 50 gal water heater the other day. I called other company's to get estimates for replacing my water heater. What I thought was going to be an easy job, they gave me a price that was outrageous. It seemed like they didn't want to do the work. "They were able to come out on one day's notice and install a gas line for a gas stove. The gas line works and they seemed to know what they were doing. I didn't really compare rates as we needed to get the work done quickly, so I can't speak to that aspect. Friendly, communicative ... and no problems."

"We were happy with the workmen but we were not happy with the management, and my husband didn't want me to write a bad report. But, there was a problem getting everything to work and they blamed it on our remodel, that something was being done in our remodel, and it took them two weeks to get us hot water consistantly. I was not happy. And then they charged us with extra labor. We bought a new water heater from and water cleaner as well. I think we ended up giving them $7000 for a repipe and then the quote came back in five bills and an extra $200 for labor. They couldn't figure out what was wrong and they had to keep coming back. I didn't want a bad report on my credit report so we bargained (on the extra $200) and said we'll pay half just to get them off our back. They were greedy at the end. We have a lifetime gurantee with them so I was afraid if we write something bad and what if they decide to retaliate by giving us a hard time with the guarantee and all."
