"I contacted CWE to replace 8 windows and 1 patio door. Jeff came by and did the consultation. He was very friendly and professional. Communication 5/5 - Jeff was very responsive to questions and clearly communicated the work and timeline. Timeliness 5/5 - Both the consultation and installation started on time. The windows actually arrived sooner than expected. Quality 5/5 - The installation team laid down blankets before starting any work. They removed the old windows without damaging the surrounding wall. They installed the new windows and applied the cleanest caulk line I’ve ever seen. They cleaned up after themselves. The Anlin windows that were installed works perfectly and are beautiful."

"American Home Renewal recently replaced 7 double hung windows in our home. We had 3 window replacement companies come to our home discuss the process and give us estimates. Chris from American Home Renewal was by far the most professional. He spent time with us, accurately described the entire installation process with us and exhibited willingness and patience to hear and understand what we were looking for in the new windows. The American Home Renewal contract was clear, concise and straight forward. The 3 day installation process was fluid and fairly quiet and we were able to work from home. It had a minimal impact on our lives. The crew cleaned up thoroughly every day and took time to make sure we knew how to tilt the windows for eventual cleaning etc. Keith, the Production Manager, checked in a few times during the 3 day installation period to ensure everything was progressing to our satisfaction. They have not yet contacted me regarding the work to be done. As I am preparing to go on a vacation and will not return until the middle of next week, I'm in no hurry. If I haven't heard from them by the end of next week (May 29), I will contact them the following week.

I had paid the $1,000 advance by Visa through Angie's List, since Best Exteriors only accepts Pay Pal. Angie's sent them a check, but Best Exteriors said they didn't know what it was for, so it took two months to get an agreement signed. It seems to me that they could have called Angie's to ask what it was for. If I received a check for that much and didn't know why, I'd be on the phone right away to find out. I paid it in March. The job was done in July.

The crew of two men showed up on time and did a great job installing the windows. The problems started after the windows were in. The re-installed my two window air conditioners, but left large gaps around them where wind and water could get in.

 They fixed one of them before they left, but I had to call the office to get the other one done. It was fixed a week later, but then Alex called me and said it was not part of their job to put the A/C back in, and the customer should make the arrangements for that. Well, alright, but he didn't tell me that when he came out to make the arrangements for the work to be done. It would have been a deal breaker for me, as I am elderly and not strong enough to do that. He said they had "gone above and beyond" by putting the A/C back in for me, but I don't think it's too much to expect them to put things back as they were when they started the job. Certainly they should have told me if it wasn't part of the agreement.

"Counters look good, however, there was a HUGE mess. Tons of old counter top in every one my drawers and in all of the cabinets. Basically no clean up, no attempt to. In addition, they got glue in the window track and the window couldn't open. I called multiple times to have this fixed weeks apart. I did get an apology for them forgetting to come out after the first call. However, a huge mess was made getting the glue off the window seal and not cleaned up even a little bit. Rude...acted like we were inconveniencing them. Never apologized. The counters look great but customer service definitely left a sour taste."

"The job was to re-attach sliding glass shower door to its wheeled clamp, so door could slide, once again. NorCal accepted the job, though not experienced in glass shower door issues. Due to their lack of experience AND a couple of situations out of their control, they spend MUCH more time repairing, yet, doing, a seemingly, good job [so far after 1 day], than the last repair of this same door by another ANGI? Pro, who did so for much less [the job is "extremely" simple for the RIGHT Pro] and somewhat better job. I have not yet used the shower, but I am fairly confident NorCal Sliding Door Repairs did a good job in an area they have no direct experience. I did not re-hire the previous company I used, since I couldnt find them on ANGI when i requested quotes for this job. If not for the "excessive?" service charge of NorCal Sliding Door Repairs for this "minor" job, I'd rehire them for future shower door work: First Shower job: 3.5 stars"
