"Out four estimates, Seaside gave us the best one. We Spoke with Michael and I would say that he sent two of the best guys, ever, Nathan and Ian, out to install the new furnace and hauled away the old. Answered every question we had in a manner we understood. They went above and beyond. I always believed in using local talent and these guys are Oscar talent! Thank you Seaside for an awesome experience. You made the best part of our day! Jake and Susan D."

"Please accept our heartfelt thank you for the excellent work by your installation team! We had company staying with us the first night after the installation and no one even heard the furnace kick on in the morning. It purrs like a kitten, no rattling registers. It passed the leak test with flying colors, too."

"Jonathan and his crew were very professional and a pleasure to do business with. They installed a new A/C unit at my daughter and son-in-laws home which works amazing! I hired them from Florida to do the install in California. After receiving 3 different quotes, their pricing was the best!! Jonathan was very honest and reliable and I would highly recommend Premier Heating & Air to everyone!"

"It was expensive, but it was done right, the work was clean and quick. They cleaned up after themselves and were very polite and careful in and around our home. I am very pleased with the work."

"Bruce spent 2.5 hours searching for the cause of the problem because it wasn't readily apparent. It perplexed him but he persevered in spite of my leading him astray (insisting the plug in back of a cabinet wasn't a GFI breaker [it was]). Along the way he gave me an excellent education in how electricity works, fixed a couple of other plugs with loose wires and discussed all the options in a professional, friendly manner. I felt comfortable with him and trusted he was giving me the absolute best advice. 5 Star will be coming back to install some new LED fixtures in the garage, which he did not insist on selling to me but let me order exactly what I wanted myself."

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

Like any other animal, rats are attracted to food sources, water, and shelter. Clean up food messes right away, don’t leave pet food out, and secure your garbage to make your home less appealing. Fix leaky pipes and dripping faucets, and declutter spaces that rats might think to nest in.

Yes, it is generally safe to return to your house once the pest control professionals have granted permission. Keep in mind that you’ll only need to evacuate your home during extreme pest control treatments, such as whole-home fumigation, while more minor treatments don’t require leaving. When you return home, be sure to follow the pest pro’s instructions carefully, especially those surrounding wait times and safety precautions.

The best termite treatment depends on your specific infestation, home, and budget. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the most common professional treatments are soil-applied barrier treatments, like liquid termiticides, and termite baits. Bait stations are placed in the soil and work by moving poison back into the colony to kill the queen. For infestations that haven't fully taken root, barriers and targeted termiticides are often the most effective options. Additionally, preventative measures such as moisture removal and installing physical barriers to protect vulnerable wood are important, particularly during construction or remodeling. It is best to work with a termite professional to determine the right treatment for your situation.

The cockroach most easily confused with water bugs is the Oriental cockroach, for several reasons. Their shape is most similar to a water bug, and they’re notorious for seeking out and living near water. If you capture one of these bugs close to a water supply, you can quickly tell if it’s an Oriental roach or a water bug. These roaches are a darker color, and they cannot fly, while water bugs are a lighter brown and can fly to escape.

If you’re wondering whether bug candles can keep flies away, the answer is yes (and this goes for fruit flies and many other types of flies. However, most bug candles contain citronella, which isn’t suitable for indoor use. This is because the fumes are strong and can leave a strong scent on walls and objects.
