They were very efficient, and professional. They made a hard job look easy, and overcame any problems that came up and did an excellent job. Bruce & Greg went above and beyond to make sure everything worked properly once they were finished. I will be using them for any electrical work I need to have done in the future. If you need electrical work done, they're the ones to use.

We have been consistently impressed with Bruce's expertise, thoughtful advice on projects, reasonable rates, and honest, likeable nature. We would trust him to complete any project. Heck, I'd like to adopt him! When he was completing work on our house before we moved the 200 miles to San Luis he even texted us a picture of our dry lawn, recommending that we have the gardener extend the watering time AND plugged in pheromone diffusers so our cat would have an easier transition to his new home! Bruce was in many ways our "welcoming committee" to San Luis Obispo, showing us by example why SLO was the best choice to escape the rat race.

Dependable, on time, no fuss. Advised me to consider upgrading panel during replacement if I was considering solar panels in future. Two years later, I had local solar company come out and advise on future project and they were quite pleased to see the excellent panel upgrade.

Bruce spent 2.5 hours searching for the cause of the problem because it wasn't readily apparent. It perplexed him but he persevered in spite of my leading him astray (insisting the plug in back of a cabinet wasn't a GFI breaker [it was]). Along the way he gave me an excellent education in how electricity works, fixed a couple of other plugs with loose wires and discussed all the options in a professional, friendly manner. I felt comfortable with him and trusted he was giving me the absolute best advice. 5 Star will be coming back to install some new LED fixtures in the garage, which he did not insist on selling to me but let me order exactly what I wanted myself.

I needed to have my outdoor security light fixture upgraded to LED. My kitchen lights from fluorescent to LED tubes. Ian was knowledgeable, professional, & called to let me know when to expect him.

I was impressed that the work could be done on short notice & efficiently.

I will be using them again to replace 5 indoor ceiling lights to LED ones.once I get the fixtures. 

They also gave me a very detailed & timely estimate for replacing my main electrical panel which is very old, outdated & likely a fire hazard.

I couldn't be happier with them, & their service. I will call them again if I have any electrical problems. I got what I paid for. Quality work that should be rewarded, & which I appreciate since I can't do what they do.. .

5 Star Electric installed a ceiling fan in our master bedroom. Tommy and Ian showed up on time ready to get the job done.  There was no fixture in the ceiling so they had to cut a hole in the ceiling, install a junction box, run wiring through the small crawl space in the attic down to the existing wall switch and cut an additional hole in the wall for the fan wall switch.  It works great, looks great and Tommy and Ian cleaned up thoroughly.  This is the second ceiling fan install 5 Star and done in our home.  I’m confident the job was done correctly.

Heston arrived exactly on time and spent 20 minutes troubleshooting before determining that the breaker itself was bad.  He did this to save me money as the breaker was $60.  He did not have one on his truck, but did a 15 minute trip to Home Depot and had the whole thing wrapped up in 45 minutes.  Very professional and quality work.  Also gave me some suggestions on better waterproofing my outdoor plugs.  Good work at a good price.  Thanks!

Given the fact that it was the day before New Years, we were having the most difficult time finding someone to fix an electrical problem that was causing our landline phones and security system to stop working.  This was especially concerning since we are a small business.  Bruce took the time to show up at the time we requested, fixed the problem immediately and could not be nicer to deal with.  He knows his trade well, and is very trustworthy.  I will definitely call him in the future for all electrical issues.

After we made the initial purchase for the panel replacement, life happened in big lumpy handfuls. We had at least three large life challenges that created delays of close to a year. Bruce was patient, and polite, and patient, and patient, and polite as we worked through some delays to finally get ready for the work to be done. When the day finally arrived they did exactly what they said they would in less time than was anticipated. One of the team, Tom, came in after the power was back on and replaced three receptacles in the house.

Tom was thorough and professional. He got to work upon arrival and worked throughout the day until finished. My impression was very favorable. You will be so happy to have found this business! I fully endorse this business! I hope to have them back to do some additional work in the near future.

They were GREAT!  I live 400 miles away, the electrician called three times during the call to verify what was going on and offered different choices to remedy the problems. He arrived on time, did the work in a timely manner, was most pleasant and efficient!

All went well and the actually bill was less than the estimate.  I have never had that experience before.  Bruce also gave some good advice on replacing all of the halogen light fixtures with LED lighting and told me exactly where to get them either at COSTCO or at Home Depot, what they would cost, and explained how easy it would be for me to do the replacements.  He also said he could do the installation if I did not want to do it myself.  He then gave a written estimate for that, and another bid for replacing other fixture.  I found Bruce a very well qualified electrician, and a honest straight forward kind of a guy that is very professional and forthright in his business.  I will be using him for all of work in Shell Beach and I would highly recommend him to others.
