"They had done such an amazing job. I asked for them to install a security camera system at three of my liquor stores. Super friendly, I had gotten such an amazing price, and the work done was extremely well and done fast."

Customers say: Quality work

"I highly recommend Echo Services. I used them to install an extensive camera security system for my parents and they even assisted them on linking it to their mobile devices. As a small business owner myself, I truly appreciate the customer service. After the install the neighbors are all asking to hire them. Keep up the great work! Sincerely, Kevin"

"Fishing cable and data wiring in a single level home (I thought) was easy to do. This company demonstrated the level of effort involved in wiring our home, which was far beyond my capabilities. Manhors involved (three persons) to install a Structured Design System, fish and install cable (Spectrum cable) and data (Ethernet) was approximately 45 manhours over three days. If you need someone to do the job correctly, to provide you great value for the cost involved, to improve your home's internet security (via ethernet cable throughout the home), and a clean safe central location to house and control your connections, give Diversified a call. Mr. Jose Cosio is a professional, soft spoken, but highly knowledgeable individual, who will listen carefully to your needs, desires, dreams, draw out a simple plan, acquire the right parts and supplies, and professionally install and set up a large or small system in you home, to ensure your home is working smoothly and securely. I will invite him back to complete future projects."

Home Security Systems questions, answered by experts

Strike plates and security plates are the same thing, but there are strike plates that offer more security than others. For the highest security, look for plates made of heavy-duty steel, reinforced strike plates thicker than regular ones, and extended strike plates. It’s much harder to break into a door with these strike plates because they hold up better to force from attempted entry.

The best type of deadbolt depends on your specific needs. If accessibility is your primary concern, a single-cylinder deadbolt is the easiest to operate. Mortise locks are likely the most secure type of deadbolt you can install, but single-cylinders combined with secondary locking mechanisms like vertical locks are also a great option. Smart locks will give you the most flexibility to open and close your locks whenever and wherever you need to.

Installing a gate on your property is often a worthwhile investment, despite the initial expense. Gates enhance your home's curb appeal and can increase its property value, making them more attractive to potential homebuyers. They provide significant security benefits by keeping out unwanted guests and increasing privacy for your household. Additionally, a gate can help keep children and pets safely contained in your yard.

For driveway gates, automatic versions are particularly convenient and tend to add more value than manual ones. The choice of gate material also plays a role in both aesthetic appeal and security. Beyond driveways, side gates can improve accessibility to your rear yard, making the outdoor space more usable. Overall, whether for security, safety, or aesthetics, installing a gate is a valuable addition to a property.

Keyless locks are great for convenience, letting you unlock doors with a code or your phone so you don't need to carry keys around. They also often come with helpful features like temporary codes for guests. On the downside, they can be more costly up front and do require batteries that will eventually need replacing. If you value ease of use and additional security features, keyless locks are worth the investment.

One significant drawback of home automation is the increased risk of cybersecurity threats. With more connected devices in our homes, there's a greater chance that hackers might try to exploit vulnerabilities to access personal data or even control your devices. If you don't secure your smart gadgets properly, they can become entry points for cyberattacks, risking your privacy and safety. Moreover, technology isn't perfect. Sometimes, systems can malfunction or experience connectivity issues, disrupting your daily routines. The upfront cost of buying and installing smart devices can also be a hurdle for some people.
