"We recently added a full master suite and a new retaining wall at ground level of our existing home. We interviewed several contractors and decided on Shenon Construction to build our addition. Tom Shenon is the principal owner and licensed general contractor of Shenon Construction. The estimated costs were reasonable and within our budget, and Tom worked with us to keep our costs down without sacrificing quality. More importantly, we felt a connection to Tom Shenon, as he is sincere and honest, but knowledgeable and professional in his approach to our needs. The work is now complete, and we are entirely pleased with the outcome of our new addition. Needless to say, the process of adding nearly 400 square feet to a structure, especially in Southern California, is a very complicated and detailed endeavor. There are many strict building and environmental regulations and permitting requirements set forth by numerous governmental entities, as well as homeowners association requirements that we had to navigate. The difficulty of getting through architectural planning, engineering, and city permitting was compounded during the COVID pandemic, but Tom and his design/architectural/engineering team did an excellent job to design our project and guide us through the processes and procedures necessary to complete the process timely and thoroughly. He is a competent contractor and knowledgeable in his field. He allowed us to select and purchase all owner-supplied fixtures and materials ourselves, or use his design and supplier team to obtain required items at the best prices. We used a mixture of contractor-recommended suppliers as well as obtaining our own selection of items based on our personal preferences. All of the subcontractors, project supervisors, and trade craftsmen were superb. They were courteous and respectful of our property, trustworthy, and extremely skillful in their trades. The craftmanship is amazing and resulted in a beautiful, comfortable addition. All the suppliers and subcontractors used by Shenon Construction went above and beyond to help us obtain needed items at reasonable prices in a timely manner. Based on the results of our project, we feel we definitely made the correct choice in Shenon Construction to complete our addition, and we consider Tom and all the craftsmen involved in our project to be long-term friends. "We had a very positive experience with System Pavers. We replaced our driveway, porch, walkways (front and back) and patio. Our sales consultant, Jeff Brown, was easy to work with. He came up with some really good ideas and did not pressure us to make our decisions right away or sign a contract before we were ready. In the backyard, we significantly altered the footprint of our patio (increased the size by over 50%) and the walkways around the yard. Jeff’s ideas really added to the eye appeal and usefulness of the hardscape. Our project manager, Ryan Mainwaring, came to our house the day before work was to start and explained how the project would proceed, and what we could expect. Once work started, he came by every day to assess progress, check that the work was within specifications and make suggestions for improvements. He was informative, and like Jeff, he came up with some great ideas to add some classy dimensions to the project. Ryan told us the project would take 3 – 4 weeks, but it was actually completed in just under three weeks. We noticed a few flaws and pointed them out to Ryan. He had them fixed to our satisfaction within two days. Prior to starting the project, we got quotes from another paving stone company. System Pavers was a bit more expensive, but I believe the quality of workmanship and professionalism made the added expense worth it. Jeff had so many good ideas and was able to show us (with his computer software) what the completed project would look like, whereas the other sales representative only followed our suggestions, offering no ideas for improvement. We looked at numerous completed jobs from the other contractor and noted that the work product appeared substandard. I have no regrets that we paid extra to have System perform the work. I highly recommend System Pavers for outdoor remodeling projects. Their staff is efficient, courteous and professional, and their work product is superb. Thank you for a job well done!show more

"We made a BIG MISTAKE not joining Angies List before we selected a contractor to put a new roof on our mobilehome. <br /> The contractor we hired had done some work here in our mobilehome park. &nbsp;And he seemed good, until after the contract was signed and the work started. Then it was delays, excuses, and very substandard workmanship. <br /> We didn't know anything about how the work should be done or where to turn for advice as to how certain things should have been done, so we called West Coast Mobile Home Improvement from an ad in a magazine, and explained our situation. The very next day Craig Corzine, an inspector for West Coast, was at our door and acted as our Consultant and Advocate. We suddenly had a friend who told us how the roof should be installed, what the current code required, &nbsp;and what we might want to ask the existing contractor to do to correct things that seemed wrong to us. &nbsp;Craig was all about us telling the existing contractor exactly what we wanted (doing certain things the right way)and giving the existing contractor the chance to make things right. He was not out to bad mouth anyone or try to steal a job from another company. <br /> &nbsp;Craig spent over an hour answering our questions and helping with our concerns...AT NO CHARGE. We were so impressed with Craig's Integrity, and willingness to help that we would unequivicably recommend his company, West Coast Mobile Home Improvement, even though they did not actually do any work on our home. <br /> And if you are getting bids for your job, I'd say you better include them on your bid list.
