"FOR POPCORN REMOVAL or PAINTING PROJECTS, CALL KANNEL'S PAINTING SERVICE. I hired Kannel's to remove popcorn from my ceiling. They completed the work last week and did a fantastic job. Rene and his team are a painting company, but they're also experienced at popcorn removal. This was a tough job, involving five rooms (including bedroom closets) and the hallway. For one thing, the popcorn had been painted, which presents an extra challenge. Painted popcorn is harder to remove; water alone is not enough to soften it. But Rene and his team knew how to tackle it. Additionally, the ceiling had three cracks, two of which were seriously unsightly, that had developed over the years as a result of poor support of the sheet rock during the initial construction. Rene and his team went into the attic, placed 2x4 supports in the right locations, and then secured the sheet rock to the supports. In this way, they were able to stabilize the ceiling in the cracked areas and then patch and paint. After the popcorn removal, they took care of all additional necessary patching, then primered and painted the entire ceiling (two coats). They are seriously hard, steady, consistent workers. They arrived and left at the same time each day until the job was done. I was at the house each day and I saw how hard they worked. They put forth a tremendous effort and I am extremely pleased with the result. It truly looks like a brand new ceiling. Their price was competitive and I'd hire them again. He was responsive and communicative when we talked to him about our job texturing our bedroom, fixing ca crack in the ceiling and replacing some drywall near our bathroom. The price he offered was reasonable. Our start time shifted slightly and he was flexible with our dates. When we began , his crew showed up on time and stayed on the project without any delays. "Very well. We had to be entirely out of the house for two nights. But it was understandable because *everything* was covered in plastic. They sent instructions ahead of time. You really need to pack up most things, even thought they say only breakables need to be removed. The electrical and drywall work was well done. They asked a lot of questions about the placement of the new can lights, the switches, etc. We really love the new lights. They even swapped out a nearby old light so that they all looked the same - nice touch! The ceilings look great. The new entrance to the attic was very nicely done. The painting on the ceilings looked great. The folks that did the work really took some pride in their work, and with good reason. The price was fair, and I'd hire them again."

He did a fantastic job while working with us on our schedules - he had to spend 2 more days than he anticipated because of other things going in the home. "Bill from Fine Point Painting first stopped by to perform an estimate. I am a newbie when it comes to painting jargon so Bill was quite helpful in his explanation of the various sheen types (flat, satin, eggshell, semi gloss etc.) and which sheen would look good in which areas. I also discussed a couple of options with him (like should I paint the ceilings or not) and he was again quite helpful with his suggestions.
He sent me the estimate the next morning and it was a very competitive price so I decided to go for it. The work was for 3 painters for 2 days and I used the Angie's list coupons.
On both days, Bill and team showed up very promptly. There were thorough professionals and knew exactly what to do. They bunched up all the furniture and covered it, covered the floors, removed the wall panels for all plug points in the wall, removed curtains. They cleaned all surfaces, patched holes, spot primed the patches and did a great job with the painting. The job was completed on time and I am very impressed with the quality of work.
I will definitely hire them again (thinking of painting the bedrooms and bathrooms next as well as the exterior)
