Job is done and never thought I would be so excited about a ceiling, but it looks so crisp and clean – and so much better without the popcorn! I hired Pacific Drywall and Painting (Scott). My job was atypical. I have vaulted ceilings throughout the house and required scaffolding for the job. Plus, I had recessed lighting put in at the same time (so broke job up – 1st scrape ceiling, then electrician puts ceiling holes & connections, then mudding/painting/drywalling holes, then electrician adds lights and finishing touches). Scott had all the necessary equipment, could start the job right away, and was flexible to work with the electrician. He was reasonably priced (not cheapest but a couple of thousand less than my highest quotes). He had a solid bid and stuck to it. Work was done to a high quality and Scott was mostly responsive to my requests and needs. I would recommend. A couple of notes. -The job was messy – doesn’t matter who does it, be prepared for a lot of dust. I didn’t have to live in it. -There is likely to be drywall repair – so make sure you prepare for some added cost from that. -Depending on the equipment needed, you have to be prepared that some things will get bumped and marked. I had a couple of places on the floors but Scott was very responsive and came back and fixed it. - Since my job was drawn out with the addition of the electrician (didn’t work for Scott) in the mix, there was a weird situation where Scott asked for payment early (terms was at the end of the job). However, after chatting it through. Scott understood my hesitation and let me pay at the end as originally agreed. - Scott went on vacation with his family during my job so responsiveness got a bit challenging for a few days – but he eventually, he got back to me. Most of the rest of the time, he was quite responsive. All and all, I am happy with the experience and extremely pleased with the results and recommend Pacific Drywall & Painting.

Scott came to our condo to patch some drywall. When I asked for a quote on repainting the entire unit, he took a look around and was able to quickly produce a reasonable quote, as well as provide detailed recommendations on color, texture, current trends, etc. I could tell he had the decades of experience he claimed. His crew (not sub-contractors) then came a few days later, and did a fantastic job. We could not have been more pleased with the professional results! They even came back afterwards at our request for some minor touch-ups here & there. I would would not hesitate to hire Pacific Drywall and Painting again in the future.

Showed up as scheduled. Did a good job of drywall installation. Tape showed a few areas where mud did not fully embed tape and tape lines were visible in places. Texturing was a good match with existing texture, but some areas were left a bit rough or uneven without proper attention to cleanup. This required some homeowner scraping and touchup prior to priming for painting. Overall, a decent job was provided.

Contacted via email and phone multiple times. We shared pictures of the garage twice. Despite multiple attempts we never heard back again.

Scott responded to my initial phone inquiry and subsequent emails promptly. Was forthright with information and quote, plus the work was performed the week after we called. The two workmen who came to our house were very pleasant and professional. Did the job efficiently and it looks like new. Additionally, when they got into the wall, there was unexpected wood rot from a prior water leak. Although they were contracted to do only drywall and minor mold cleanup, the men went over and above. With our verbal agreement to pay more for further repairs, they went to the store, bought wood & needed materials, came back to to the house, cleaned out all the rotten wood, cleaned the mold, installed the new lumber, drywall & wall finish, cleaned up the area and were done by 3 p.m. Excellent! Do not hesitate to hire this company. We will use them again, if needed.

We had to cut open a ceiling to do plumbing work in the bathroom upstairs. After the plumbing work we had to fix the ceiling, so that's where this company comes in. The repair went very well. The drywall guy patched the hole & re-textured the ceiling so well that we couldn't tell there had even been a hole there. He repainted it and now you can't tell there was ever a problem.

Both steps were extremely well done by the popcorn removal contractor and then by the painter. I would definitely use this company again. They were responsive, punctual, friendly, and did an amazing job!

Scott was excellent to work with in getting a quote and scheduling his team. His guys were on time and professional. David came to finish up the taping and texturing. He was on time, cleaned up at the end of the job. David did a final walk through to make sure we were pleased with the work. It came out fantastic. It is not if I would hire them again. It is when I will hire them again. I have other remodels that are coming up. They are my go to guys for this work.

waste of time. owner lives out of state and his estimator is more of a messenger for him than any sort of capable trades person or contractor. complete lack of respect for a potential customer who allocated ample time for intro. appointment. messenger who arrived was seemingly just shopping jobs, trying to get the nod that it was OK to do "blow & go" or lower end type work. messenger lacked any real depth of knowledge or skill in this related trade- low end sales guy. below is the delayed, late, following email that arrived from the out of state owner/contractor, who as I later learned, had years earlier moved from CA to Idaho: Thanks for your interest in our company. After reviewing our schedule, we have a very large job we are doing and several other that have accepted our proposals. I would not feel comfortable giving you an estimate at this time that we cannot fulfill. I wanted to give you a heads up so you can seek another contractor that can meet your needs. Again, that you for contacting us. Good luck with your project.
Response from Pacific Drywall & Painting Inc

"Sean has worked for us for 20 years. He is our superintendent and estimator and is very competent. We are in an extremely busy season and are having a hard time keeping up with the demand. Where I live is no concern of our customers, since our corporate address is in Idaho and we run both divisions including California. What you have said is untrue and unfair. The only bad posts we have are jobs we did not do. Just go on to read our 87 A-rated reviews from pleased customers where we did the work. We took the time to come out to see you. Unfortunately it was not a good fit with the project and our timing. We cannot take on every job we go see or every lead we get. It is just unfortunate you feel the need to attack us because we chose not to take on your job. Good luck in the future."

first, this guy told me to contact him through his email address and not through angieslist for HIS convenience. i gave all the information about the job in my original angieslist message. he said he needed photos before he could schedule an appointment to look at the job in person. i couldn't do that, as i live two hours away from the job, and wanted an appointment for friday (i had contacted the company about a week earlier). i received a message saying he "didn't have all my information". i responded indicating i didn't know what information he needed, to let me know, and i'd send what i could. he called thursday, the day before i was going to be at the job site, and asked what work i needed to have done. i told him we'd better just skip it, since i had already provided that information in my original message. whoever this person is, he is just completely out of touch. i'm thrilled business is so good that he can be completely disinterested in any new clients. good for you, buddy.
Response from Pacific Drywall & Painting Inc

"We are very busy right now. I needed know what you would need me to do. Access was going to be a problem. I could have came out and bid the job without the pictures but they really help to see what needs to be done. When we talked the last time you cancelled our appointment to estimate your job. I am not sure what else I could have done for you. I am sorry that your experience with our company was not to your satisfaction."

Was later than expected, but they called to give estimate on what time they could be there, which is helpful. Put back sink and cleaned up everything after work was done. I was happy with the job and the clean up.

HE FIXED SEVERAL LARGE CRACKS ON A FEW DIFFERENT PLASTER WALLS (NOT DRYWALL), WHICH IS EVEN MORE DIFFICULT.  HE DID A SUPER JOB, VERY THOROUGH.  SCOTT ASKED FOR SOME PICTURES AND WAS ABLE TO BID THE JOB FROM THAT.  DAVID WAS THE SPECIALIST SENT AND HE WAS GREAT.  I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE AND WOULD USE AGAIN
