"I was pleased with not only the installation of my back yard, but also the work ethic and friendliness of the men doing the work. They showed up at 8:30 every morning and began working and worked through 5-5:30pm every day. The project manager Cesar was there every day and made sure we were satisfied with the work being done. I liked the original design of the project, but during construction the team pointed out some additional ideas that made a great job super. My wife and I are glad we chose System Pavers. "Reynaldo Nunez is a honest hard working guy. I had a large project that we hired them for. Remoldeled our entire back yard. Plants x30, Palm trees x10, some gravel work as well as sod installation to include sprinklers and drip system. He and his crew did an amazing job. The best part was he made sure we were happy every step of the way. He was very flexible to changes we made along the way and Pricing was awesome. I will not use anyone else for future projects. He made our yard look like a Tropical Paradise. Thank you Reynaldo, the Dinet Family."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) says you can place smoke detectors on either the ceiling or the wall, depending on the setup of your room. Since smoke rises, the ceiling makes sense, but if you go with a wall mounting, the alarm should be installed high up—no less than 12 inches from the ceiling.

You might be able to turn a normal door into a fire-rated door, but you’re better off purchasing one that meets all NFPA 80 standards. If you want to DIY a normal door into a fire door, you’ll need a self-adhesive intumescent seal, metal hinges, fire-resistant glazing, and a self-closing device, but you’re always better off buying a certified fire door.

Fire doors are constructed to have certain resistance levels regarding fire. A traditional door can typically resist fire for less than one minute, whereas fire doors can resist it for 30 to 120 minutes, depending on the fire door rating. Fire doors give you and your family a better chance of safely escaping during a fire than standard doors.

Poorly designed and incorrectly installed outlets can create an electrical fire hazard, as do some phone chargers and adapters that plug into these outlets. However, most outlets are perfectly safe as long as they remain in working condition. Keep an eye on what you are plugging into the outlet and stay alert for signs of outlet malfunction, like sparks, burning smell, or frequent circuit tripping.

Baking soda is an effective fire reduction method. However, flour and baking powder are very dangerous around flames. Flour is flammable and it can also conduct electricity. The combination can cause serious injury from electrical shock and worsen the situation by adding fuel to the fire. Baking powder is also not an option as it's also highly flammable.
