"Used these guys after a recommendation from a friend, I've had to move a few times now and I feel like I've had a pretty wide variety of experiences with moving companies but these guys are definitely what I was wanting. Customer service was great (willing to put in more effort than just the standard "getting by") and I had a great convo with Alex, make sure to ask for him and Sergei, I forget the other guy's name that came. They were in and out quickly and they finished the job in the allotted time, as specified. Would definitely use them if I needed to."

"From the initial phone call to hire, to arrival and helping me move, each interaction was exceptionally professional, movers were courteous, careful and fast, and I spoke directly with the owner, Nicole each step of the way. The price was great and I would definitely recommend to anyone in need of a great moving company!"

"The 3 Kings team was excellent! I hired four movers at the owner's request (who, by the way, is very personable and helpful) as I was in the unique circumstance of moving to a third-floor apartment and in possession of quite a collection of books. I was a bit nervous about that fact - I'd looked at several other movers and reviews mentioned little about upper floor apartment services. 3 Kings were one of the few that actually responded to my request for a quote via Angi, and did so same-day. They were communicative, prompt and outlined every step of the process. Their quote was accurate and they were realistic about the challenges of my move. They treated my belongings with care. I did notice a few scuffs on a furniture piece here and there, but nothing that wouldn't have happened during moving anyway - and none of my belongings were otherwise damaged or broken. Moreover each and every one of the workers was polite and hard-working. Major props to the team for lugging my items up four flights of stairs on a hot day. They were outstanding. I would absolutely hire them again and recommend them to anyone looking for moving assistance."

Piano Moving questions, answered by experts

Services typically take 1-2 hours, depending on the unit and complexity of the relocation.

Depending on the type of expense, it is possible to deduct moving costs on your taxes. For example, you can deduct for packing, crating, insurance, in-transit storage, and using a trailer. However, you cannot deduct expenses such as moving furniture, security deposits, and home buying and selling expenses.

The cost to ship furniture can range from $300 to $4,500 per piece, depending on the size and weight of the item and where it’s being shipped to. For a cross-country move, which companies consider any distance over 400 miles, it will cost $300 to $800 per piece to ship furniture. For an international move, shipping will cost around $1,000 to $4,500 per piece.

Most upright pianos weigh between 500 and 1000 pounds. Other vertical pianos, which are sometimes confused with upright pianos, may be between 200 and 500 pounds. Spinet pianos weigh between 200 and 400 pounds, console pianos are 350 to 450 pounds, and studio pianos are 400 to 500 pounds.

You can move a pool table without taking it apart only if you’re moving it a short distance, like from one room to another, and with the help of several people or a professional moving company. But if you’re moving the pool table from one home to another, experts strongly advise you not to move it without taking it apart. If you leave it in one piece, you could risk not only your own personal safety, but also risk damage to the pool table itself. The bumpers could need to be realigned and the slate may have to be re-leveled if you try to move a pool table without taking it apart. In this case, the risk usually doesn’t outweigh the reward.
