"They installed a 3ft wrought iron fence in my front yard, they custom made me a gate and they also relocated 3 of my sprinklers in order to fit the corner posts properly into the ground. That extra little service with my sprinklers is what got them hired. All the other estimates told me I would have to get someone else to move my sprinklers. They were here in a timely fashion and completed the job in a very timely manner. The price was very reasonable on a tight budget."

"Much better than I could have ever hoped for. Damian and his crew were so awesome. Such attention to detail! And I'm Type A so that matters a lot to me. I had some special needs because I'm a gardener and some of my gardens butt up against the fence. I begged for them to be careful...not one leaf was damaged!!! I had San Diego Fence out for an estimate. They did not even want to touch it because it wasn't going to be something they could just slap up. Damian hooked me up with the solar driveway gate guy. He was also great! A few of the best things...Damian is on site the entire time, they listen, they get done quickly, they stay till it's finished (no 7-3 like so many others), super easy to work with, and best of all...way cheaper than anyone else. I guess the best review would be how many people keep stopping by to admire it AND Damian got 4 extra jobs from neighbors. "Finally an honest Solar company!! I went through several companies trying to get quotes for one of my properties, either they were ridiculously expensive or they didn't return my calls. A friend of mine referred me to Mega Sun and I have to say I am very pleased. Within a couple days from the initial phone call I already had an estimate and once i decided to go with them the installation was completed in one week. Its been a little over a month since they completed the install and everything is working smoothly.

"S&D Brushworks originally painted the exterior of our home a couple of years ago, and did such a great job on that, that we asked them to paint two of the bedrooms in our home this year. Once again, they have done an outstanding job. David gave us the original estimate, which was a reasonable price, and then adjusted it when we decided to have the popcorn ceiling removed and the ceiling repainted as well. We had all of the walls painted, with an accent wall in each room, as well as the doors, shelving, trim and baseboards. Omar was the painter for both rooms, and he did such a wonderful job. We were having the floors re-carpeted as well, and Omar came back at no additional charge to touch up all of the places that were dinged with the carpet installation. We will definitely continue to use S&D Brushworks as we continue to repaint the rest of the rooms in our house. We recommend them highly!"

"Nice people, they claim to give a lifetime warranty including resealing seems or any problem at all. They showed up as scheduled, took a bit longer than expected. I was very happy with the way it looked when they were finished. Im still happy with the way it looks. After they left I noticed they had drilled a hole in my concrete walkway and pounded in rebar to mount a gate post but they didn’t plan it right and I believe they called the owner out who decided to put the post in a more suitable place. Unfortunately the cracked concrete with a flush cut piece off rusty rebar remains as an eyesore. After a month or two the gate post on the opposite side began pulling out of the stucco on the side of my garage. I took it apart to find they used cheep plastic anchors so i just went and replaced them with metal concrete anchors myself so its never coming out again. I figured despite the warranty id just get it done. Fast forward to present June 2019 and i noticed that 2 of the base plates of the fence are not fastened to the concrete on one end allowing them to swivel out of place when the neighbors gardener does yard work it pushes them out of place. I contacted Sonrise and was given a date two weeks away that they would show up but they could not give a time. Sounds stupid but fortunately I’m retired and can sit home all day waiting for them to show up because hey what else do i need to do right? never showed up. I emailed again and the Forman called and apologized said he’d be out the following Friday. Never called never showed up. I emailed again and its been a week and a half with no response. so much for that lifetime warranty. I am really happy with the way the fence looks but cutting corners on simple stuff has me a bit confused because when you say lifetime warranty to fix ANYTHING wrong. Well you’d expect no short cuts because then you’d have to come fix the problems ... Unless... you have no plans to fix anything at all. I don’t care to write a review like this but when you jerk a customer around then just ignore them what else is left to do?"

"We recently completed a major job with California Smartscape and are very pleased with the results and the process. Our job involved replacing a large driveway and two patio areas totaling about 1800 square feet and about 100 feet of walkway with pavers, synthetic turf in two backyard areas, replacement and addition of drainage systems on the 1/2 acre lot, removal of extensive overly mature landscaping and replacement with new plants, rock, and mulch, plus new irrigation throughout. We interviewed 5 firms for the job, and selected California Smartscape as the best overall balance of design and creative ideas, cost, and schedule. One main reason we choose them was the communication right from the start with our designer Andrew. Even at our initial meeting he was raising ideas and areas of concern that other companies did not address, and he listened very carefully to our likes and dislikes. His resulting design was a nice blend of his creativity and things we wanted, and as a result it was clear from the start that we would end up with something we liked. They weren't the cheapest bid, but their price was reasonable for work. I also liked that right at the beginning they highlighted several areas that would be TBD in the bid and the reasons why, indicating the potential issues they might run into once demolition began. Other firms tended to gloss over this, perhaps to not give the impression that there would be significant cost increases, but I've done enough construction myself to know what one can run into beneath the surface and what those can do to project cost. I appreciated California Smartscape setting proper expectations to avoid sticker shock later. The company was able to start the job fairly quickly, and we had a significant work crew at our house for the next couple months. The crew was always prompt and courteous, and they worked very hard throughout the day - it was clear that there was never any slacking off from these guys! Our project manager, Leo, was good at keeping everything flowing smoothly, and had clearly scheduled the work crews and materials deliveries so that there was no wasted time or off days. He was also responsive whenever we raised any issues (which were minor and rare) or had questions. We are delighted with the outcome, and we've had many wonderful comments from neighbors and passers by. We plan on staying in the house for years to come and hopefully won't be needing such extensive landscape work again for a long time, but we would certainly use California Smartscape again and recommend them highly."
