United Electric would not give me an estimate over the phone and was told a technician would provide a free estimate in person. I told him that was more than twice what it should cost and declined -upon which he asked for $29 estimate fee. I reminded him this was a free estimate and if they had given me a ball park range over the phone both our time would not have been wasted. "Pete was very good fixing the problem. The pull chain broke off inside the unit. I took it apart and tried to fix it myself, but was not able to get to the unit with the chain....so much for being a home mechanic! Pete made one short stop here to get the unit apart. He didn't have a replacement part with him, and to save time I went to Fan Diego store for the replacement, and he installed it on another visit a few days later. Problem solved. He is very friendly and worked well. I am having him back soon to repair another ceiling fan that has quit working.
