"I had an excellent experience with with Pro Tech Appliance. My refrigerator was down on Sunday late afternoon. I contacted them that night via Angie's List with a request for a 4pm service on Monday. They text'd the next morning and were able to come at 4pm. The service tech arrived on time, was professional and was able to determine that no fix was needed other than cleaning the bottom of the unit. He also answered questions regarding my oven, microwave and dryer. Pricing was very reasonable. It was an A+ experience. I will use them for all my appliance repair needs."

"I hired Vital Appliances to do a complete diagnostics and repair of my stove top. It was cracked and was working but I noticed the crack getting worse. The company is very friendly, affordable and efficient. The technician came in the same day and got the job done within 2 days. The Company stayed in contact with me at all times and worked with my schedule. I will be using them for future needs and would highly recommend them to anyone. Great service"

Appliance Sales questions, answered by experts

Yes, gas dryers still need electricity. While their heating system relies solely on natural gas to produce the heat that dries your clothes, gas dryers use electricity to power the lights and display screens on their interface, turn on the drum, and power any automatic moisture sensors inside the unit.

Built-in ovens are installed directly into a wall to sit flush with a kitchen's cabinets, counters, or walls. These ovens offer a streamlined appearance that can blend into the rest of your kitchen aesthetic. And if you want it to blend in even more, you can opt to put a cabinet door over the unit to match the rest of your cabinets.

Another benefit of built-in ovens is that they help preserve your floor space. If you opt for a standalone oven, you'll need to find a place for it in your kitchen. However, since built-in ovens are flush with your walls or cabinets, they won't encroach on your square footage.

Yes, due to its warm and dark nature, roaches find appliances to be the perfect location to lay eggs. It's for this reason that addressing a cockroach in an appliance should be handled quickly. Once the roach makes a home in an appliance, it's only a matter of time before they nest and begin laying eggs.

The self-cleaning oven mode turns the heat in your oven up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit to incinerate any stuck-on food or grease. This process can make your home uncomfortably hot for several hours. It can also emit unpleasant smells in the house and release carbon monoxide. It can be irritating to people with respiratory conditions. Never leave the house unattended when using the self-cleaning oven feature.

If you don’t want to use dishwasher pods, you can use liquid or powder dishwasher detergent or dishwasher tablets. Alternatively, you can make a DIY dish detergent by putting two or three drops of liquid dishwashing soap in the dispenser and filling the rest with baking soda. You should never use laundry detergent, household all-purpose cleaners, or a full dispenser of liquid dish detergent.
