California SmartscapeMy husband and I are thrilled with our new backyard! From the beginning Andrew understood our needs and worked on a design that would give us more usable space for our family gatherings. Andrew is jus wonderful to work with! He is attentive to your needs and concerns and has an incredible vision for hardscape design and landscape. Once the design was done, they had to demolish existing cement and level our whole backyard to have more usable space. They installed pavers, lighting, gas lines for our fire pit and grill and landscape. It all came together even better than we ever imagined! The whole team was led by our project manager, Alvaro, who is a pleasure to work with. Every worker that was brought in was professional, punctual, and tidied up before they left for the day. Alvaro was always responsive and accommodating with the changes that we thought needed to be done along the way and still the project was completed on time and within the budget. We wish we could give more than 5 stars and cannot recommend this company enough! Hiring California Smartscape was the best decision we could have made and one we will enjoy for many years to come!!- David B.

I scheduled them to come give me an estimate for irrigation work. After only a couple of minutes the guy told me it would cost $960 total with $300 of that for a single part, a part that can be bought for $60. He gave no breakdown of how he came up with that outrageous number and was gone after less than 5 minutes total. He didn't even give me anything in writing, which is the most important part of getting an estimate. Maybe he thought I didn't know any better and could throw a huge number out there. The whole experience was shady. I'd stay away.

Not applicable since they don't work in this area - I did have an review (excellent) for tree trimming and pruning by the Tree Barber and they said that the comments on Angie's List showed them as the sprinkler control valve repair company with a negative review - this is a mistake on your list. The Tree Barber did an excellent job and not involved in sprinkler control valve repairs. The other company on your list of three who does sprinkler control valve repairs called, but never showed up. Please correct the error for the Tree Barber. And I will still continue to use Angie's List. Best, Bill Beeson

I just had my entire property landscaped after a pool installation. I could not be more pleased by the professional work done . Communication was excellent. The crew arrived on time the entire week, were polite, asked questions in regards to placement, worked hard in temperatures in the 90's, and cleaned up at the end of each day.
