"Michelle at Premier did a great job of educating me on how to care for my 20+-year-old leather coat, on what needed to be done to renew it, and cleaned it so it was almost like new. She also took over cleaning a fine Italian wool jacket I sent her, and even found buttons to replace ones on the sleeve that had fallen off She's professional, prompt, and gets the job done! I have no worries when I send my clothes to her in Calif from Wyoming (because we have no comparable specialty cleaners here)."

"Eric’s carpet and upholstery did a amazing job. Had my carpets shampooed last year by a different company and there was a few stains that didn’t come out but with Eric he was able to knock them out like nothing… Would highly recommend to any one looking for carpet cleaning services."

"They are one of the most friendly, professional business I have dealt with. Not only punctual they did the job in great time, very conscience of my home and care to keep clean as they worked. They gave me hints of what to do in future and what products to use to keep it clean. Stated several times to me that if I saw anything that I wasn't happy with later in the day after completly dry, just call them. They have incentives for future work or referals. On top of all of that, Sandi gave me a bouquet of sunflowers as a thank you for hiring them!"

"Todd arrived ahead of schedule and ready to work. His technology was new to me and he took time to answer all my questions and concerns. He pre-treated stains and went to work. He was able to do my house in an efficient and timely manner. There was little residual moisture so the carpet dried much more quickly than traditional steam cleaning. He also cleaned the upholstery on a chair and it looked like new when he was done. I recommend Todd’s work without reservation."

Upholstery Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Depending on the type of finish on your antique wood, the best cleaner is usually gentle dish soap or detergent heavily diluted with water. In more extreme cases, you can break down mildew with a carrier oil and distilled white vinegar. All in all, take as much care of antique wood furniture as you would when cleaning hardwood floors.

Upholstery seems easy to clean in theory, but it gets complicated when you consider how many cleaning designations there are for different kinds of fabrics. While some couches can handle a liquid cleaner, others require foam cleaners, and some should only be cleaned with dry cleaning products to prevent damage. It’s usually best to hire a professional upholstery cleaning service to ensure your couch gets appropriately cleaned and doesn’t get damaged in the process. Professional furniture cleaning is relatively affordable and easier on the wallet than replacing a damaged couch.

Yes, you can save moldy wood furniture by removing the mold as soon as you notice it. Mold can penetrate and damage porous wood, though, so waiting to clean it could lead to significant damage. If a large coverage area of mold grows over several months, you may want to ask a professional to try to save the piece. If the damage is bad enough, though, even a pro might not be able to save it.

When cleaning upholstery, you want to avoid harsh scrubbing, oversaturating the fabric, and using the wrong kind of cleaner for the fabric you’re cleaning. Any of these can cause significant damage to the upholstery, including rips, stains, faded fabric, mildew, or discoloration. Be methodical and use a light touch when cleaning upholstered furniture to preserve the life and look of the upholstery.

The time it takes for a professional to clean upholstery varies. For a single piece of furniture, you can generally expect the process to take between 30 and 60 minutes. However, the duration depends on the item's condition and material. Cleaning small, isolated stains may be quicker, while heavily soiled or delicate antique furniture could take up to three hours. For a room full of furniture, the process might take a couple of hours. Your cleaning expert should be able to provide a more accurate time estimate before they begin.
