"Michelle at Premier did a great job of educating me on how to care for my 20+-year-old leather coat, on what needed to be done to renew it, and cleaned it so it was almost like new. She also took over cleaning a fine Italian wool jacket I sent her, and even found buttons to replace ones on the sleeve that had fallen off She's professional, prompt, and gets the job done! I have no worries when I send my clothes to her in Calif from Wyoming (because we have no comparable specialty cleaners here)."

"Eric’s carpet and upholstery did a amazing job. Had my carpets shampooed last year by a different company and there was a few stains that didn’t come out but with Eric he was able to knock them out like nothing… Would highly recommend to any one looking for carpet cleaning services."

"They are one of the most friendly, professional business I have dealt with. Not only punctual they did the job in great time, very conscience of my home and care to keep clean as they worked. They gave me hints of what to do in future and what products to use to keep it clean. Stated several times to me that if I saw anything that I wasn't happy with later in the day after completly dry, just call them. They have incentives for future work or referals. On top of all of that, Sandi gave me a bouquet of sunflowers as a thank you for hiring them!"

"Todd arrived ahead of schedule and ready to work. His technology was new to me and he took time to answer all my questions and concerns. He pre-treated stains and went to work. He was able to do my house in an efficient and timely manner. There was little residual moisture so the carpet dried much more quickly than traditional steam cleaning. He also cleaned the upholstery on a chair and it looked like new when he was done. I recommend Todd’s work without reservation."

Upholstery Cleaning questions, answered by experts

You can use saddle soap to clean a leather sofa, but use it sparingly. Saddle soap cleans and conditions leather but can be too harsh for some types of furniture. Test it first on a small, unnoticeable part of the sofa to avoid accidentally damaging it. Apply a small amount with a damp cloth, gently work it into the leather, and wipe off the excess with a clean, dry cloth. Afterward, use a leather conditioner to keep the leather supple and prevent drying.

Wood furniture can become sticky for several reasons. Often, it's due to an accumulation of dirt, grime, or oils on the surface. Another common cause is using too much polish or wax, which can leave a sticky residue, especially after cleaning. If excess product is the culprit, you can remove the buildup with a cloth dampened with warm water and a little dish soap. Afterward, you can reapply a small amount of polish or wax, making sure to wipe away any excess. However, if cleaning doesn't help, the stickiness may be a sign that the furniture's finish is failing. As varnish and lacquer age, they can degrade and become tacky. In this case, the furniture will need to be refinished to resolve the issue.

Yes, you can rent or buy a steam cleaner. A heavy-duty steam cleaner costs between $175 and $250 at most retail outlets and online. You can also usually rent one for around $40 per day.

Most of the larger machines you can rent from a hardware or grocery store have a larger water reserve and a heating element. Both operate by moving slowly and methodically over the carpet. Whether you rent or buy a unit, you will want to stay off your carpet for at least 12 to 24 hours while they dry.

Yes, you can use upholstery cleaners on most couches. It’s always best to consult the manual and your couch's laundry instructions so you know you’re using it right and not causing any damage.

Upholstery seems easy to clean in theory, but it gets complicated when you consider how many cleaning designations there are for different kinds of fabrics. While some couches can handle a liquid cleaner, others require foam cleaners, and some should only be cleaned with dry cleaning products to prevent damage. It’s usually best to hire a professional upholstery cleaning service to ensure your couch gets appropriately cleaned and doesn’t get damaged in the process. Professional furniture cleaning is relatively affordable and easier on the wallet than replacing a damaged couch.
