"Our 2 fan palms had grown so tall it was impossible to trim them ourselves as we had done in the past, so there was years of new growth and dead palm frons. One by one 4 workers arrived, each had a specific task. The first to arrive was the trimmer who climbed into the 3 story high trees to trim them. 2 men were on the ground stacking and picking up the ground and carrying them to the 4th man running the chipper. They were synchronized with their task. If any debris fell into our neighbors yard they picked that up. All of this was accomplished in 40 minutes. They left the yard picked up and clean and our trees beautiful!."

"D Pro Tree was fast and efficient while leaving my yard in amazing shape. Sprinklers were broken during tree removal and they fixed them. I have a large tree out front that they thinned beautifully."

"Abel was great to work with! Showed up everyday on time and went above and beyond to get the job done. We had 16 trees and over 40 rose bushes that needed to be trimmed back. He was priced well below the other competitors and did a great job. Highly recommend!"

Customers say: Quality work

"Kurt and his crew did a great job trimming all my trees. Exactly what he said he would do he did and welcomed additional suggestions and requests. The greatest asset was the cleanup. They spent as much time cleaning up as they did trimming. No debris was left any where including in my pool. Thank you Kurt and team!"

"I contacted Ramiro, he came out to Madera the next day and was very reasonable on the cost to remove a huge Redwood tree we had in the backyard. He was extremely careful with the fence and pool around the tree and did a great job cleaning up afterwards, he was prompt and efficient. I plan on hiring him again for some trimming some additional trees next month. Highly recommend."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

There are a few differences between tree guying and tree staking. Tree guying requires anchor stakes that are shorter and stronger than regular stakes and are driven deeper into the ground at an angle away from the tree. Tree staking uses longer stakes that are set parallel to the tree and are used for smaller trees. Consult a local tree professional to determine which method is best for your tree.

Large, established tree branches won’t grow roots, but if you find a young tree branch that’s less than about a year old, you’ve got a shot. Put it in water or soil as soon as possible for best results. You’ll know the branch is viable if it’s about the thickness of a pencil and has some leaves or needles.

Light-bark trees are most notorious for producing lots of sap when wounded. These varieties include maples, birches, poplars, dogwoods, magnolias, and elms, and they will bleed more when the trees are dormant. That’s why it’s a good idea to prune them in the summer months rather than waiting until winter.

A tree branch should start to form roots in about three months. It can take about a year for a tree branch to develop roots strong enough to go in the ground. For best results, start several branches because, no matter how closely you follow instructions, they won’t all form roots. Compost any that aren’t thriving.

Not all leaning trees are dangerous, but they can be a hazard as gravity may eventually cause them to fall. A key factor is whether the lean is new or has been present for a long time. Trees that have grown with a lean for years are not typically an immediate danger, but a sudden lean is a cause for concern as it often indicates weakening roots. If a tree is leaning more than 15% from vertical, you should consider having it straightened or transplanted. To be safe, it's always best to hire a professional arborist to inspect any leaning tree to assess the risk and avoid potential accidents.
