"I called and spoke with Angelo.  He gave me an estimated range of how much it would cost, and told me that he could have someone at my house within an hour or two.  A plumber showed up in one hour, unclogged the drain, cleaned up, and charged me within the quoted range.  The service was very good, and the price was very fair.  I would definitely use them again.

The first time was a series of gas leaks which were quickly repaired by Western Rooter. "This was a difficult project, owing to the no-cripple-wall construction of my house and the ridiculously tight crawl space - less than a foot in critical spots - plus the maze of beams and ducts. I called six or seven plumbers to come out and bid the work and two of them ran screaming (well, not really, they just told me they needed to work up an estimate 'back at the office' and never called back). One guy swore I'd have to rip out a wall AND the floor to get to the pipe. Mr. Rooter didn't propose anything so dramatic. They just said they'd excavate as needed to make room to move around. So that's what they did. They billed it as a two-day job. They showed up on time, and the work was wrapped up by the third hour of the second day. Because that, I was concerned this job had been overbilled. Their bid had been astronomical, but it was still lower than everyone's except the guy with the lapsed bond. Mr. Rooter had been willing to negotiate and I knocked about $650 off their initial bid. They took another $200 off at the back end because of my concern with overbilling. They didn't have to do that since they had a signed contract in hand, but they were willing to take care of a customer. Thumbs up for that. The work looks solid, as far as this layman can tell. Everything drains as it should and none of the joints leak."

"We had to get our house repiped right away. I called Hanson Plumbing where I talked to Bonnie. I told her the situation, and she got Mike Jr. out to the house the same day. They were both helpful and courteous. They were able to fit us in the next day due to the situation with us being out of water. I got 3 quotes on repiping the house. They were all pretty close to each other but the other 2 were more interested in telling me about their warranties instead of their service. Mike and his crew got there in the morning and finished up in one day. They were very organized on how thy did the job. They were all nice, and talked me through everything they were doing. They keft everything cleaned up and neat when they left. I will use them again for any other plumbing issue. I would rather us a family oriented service than some corporation.
