The leak underneath your home caused substantial water damage, and accumulated a pool of water that resulted in hazardous working conditions. Most company protocols would require immediate restoration remediation and dry down to clean the area of water and bacteria, so it's a safe working environment for any plumber to perform the repair. This was made known to you multiple times, and you have opted out of that option. You and I discussed over the phone possible home remediations to help make the underground crawl space more reasonable to work with, however at the time of the job, there was still substantial pools of water underneath. After asking my plumbers if they were comfortable working under these conditions, they agreed to move forward so we can make this repair for you and get you taken care of it. We did have multiple conversations about the work performed, and the reason behind the associated cost. I was very transparent about our pricing and noted that it would have been a significantly less cost, had there not been hazardous working conditions. You responded with pricing averages off the internet, which have no proper merit to market pricing in our geographic location and factored in the conditions. By no means was anyone here was ripping you off or taking advantage of you. We worked with your best interest, repaired the issue in the pool of water under the house, all so that you can get back to normal without having the ultimatum to go with a restoration company. This wasn't an overpriced repair under normal conditions... the price reflected what we worked with. And even following our open conversations after the repair was made, we even provided a substantial discount to help alleviate some of the costs. I'm sorry if you don't understand the reason why this invoice reflected the scope of work and conditions we worked under, we tried our best to make that clear. Either way, we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavor, and hope there can be another opportunity to work together in the future."
