"His work is exceptional. He completed the work when he said he would. There were no changes in price. His price for a new kitchen, kitchen floor and installation of a new shower in the master bathroom was totally reasonable and fair. Very polite and well spoken. I highly recommend Tristar!!!!!"

"Francisco & his crew did my ENTIRE Duplex, both Interior & Exterior as I readied the property for sale. A QUALITY JOB was critically important for this upscale property selling for well over a million dollars. "Cisco" was on the scene and made it possible for me to keep on schedule with many other workers & contractors so I could bring the property to market sooner than later. He was a pleasure to work with, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing a reliable, quality oriented professional that can stay on schedule while charging a very fair price."

"Mike is a joy to work with. He is professional, knowledgeable, and has a deep subcontractor network to draw from. His bids are transparent and you know upfront the cost of each trade, the specific scope of the project, and what his overhead+profit is going to be. I interviewed several contractors before going with Mike on two big projects, a garage-ADU conversion and a major remodel+structural modification. Some contractors would want you to pay them for an estimate/work-breakdown - look, I'm an engineer, I've worked in consulting, I would never ask a potential client to pay for my time to work up a proposal. It's part of doing business. Other contractors would just give you a $/sq ft price, not taking into account specific finishes or materials of construction. Not only is Mike honest about cost, but his experience is invaluable and he is always open to new ideas and eager to learn. Such a pleasure."

"Working with Straight Lines was a great experience. Kevin was always on time. He was patient and helped us pick a great color for the studio apartment he painted for us. He knew what we wanted even though we didn t. Kevin paid attention to details, was neat and efficient. To add to all this, his price was quite reasonable. We got several estimates for the job. We chose Kevin because we could tell he was going to be honest and easy to work with. I would hire him again with no hesitation."

Cabinet Contractors questions, answered by experts

Most assemblies take 1-3 hours, but larger units or those requiring wall mounting may take longer.

Yes, you can replace the cabinet hardware after installation to change up the look of your cabinets. Replacing the hinges, handles, pulls, and knobs allows you the design flexibility to match your other appliances or finish schemes to your liking. Talk with your kitchen designer or cabinet installer about the best hardware option for your cabinets.

Make sure your shelves are no more than 12 inches deep. Any deeper and it will become hard to access items towards the back of the shelf. Yet, for larger walk-in pantries, homeowners may prefer 15- to 18-inch shelving to make room for larger appliances and cookware.

To estimate the cost of your kitchen cabinet installation, measure along the wall where you want your cabinets to be. Add up the linear feet, remembering to include both upper cabinets and lower cabinets in your total. Then, calculate the cost by multiplying the average price per linear foot of the type of cabinet you plan to install by the total length you measured.

Refacing costs less than replacing because it uses the existing infrastructure. However, customizations and the quality of materials can still influence the expense.
