"My house is nearly 6000 sq ft. so I always get several estimates before making a decision. Again, I called several companies and Eran was the most thorough in his assessment of what I needed. He was realistic in terms of stains on my Thassos marble floors and white marble countertop in the one bathroom and carrera marble counter top in another bathrooms. He gave me a great price and for just a little extra offered to clean the downstairs marble ebtry and travertine throughout the kitchen. I agreed. I was competely impressed with the outcome. I must say I never in 100 years expected my white countertops to be 100% white again! The floors were beautiful, like new. A few tiny stains you could hardly see were there, that is all! Not bad for white marble that was 20 years old! My downstairs entry marble was shiny as new as waas the travertine. The grout looked as clean as the day it was put in! The crew was friendly, professional, and worked hard. I will definitely be calling them again!"

"Jeff Arellano was subcontracted by Bob Palacios who had originally specced the job.  The two of them showed up a  few days before the job started to go over the details.  The day of the job his crew showed up on time and worked cleanly and efficiently.  At one point we had to get more rock as I had failed to get enough and we had trouble with a rock yard that I had bought stone from, but he knew where to go and he was able to find much better quality stone for the job.   Every day, at the end of the day, the work area was swept and the rocks put aside.  It was always neat and tidy.  But what was really striking was the exceptional esthetic quality of the workmanship.  Jeff has an artisans attention to detail with a workman's approach to the job.  He is the real deal, a great stone mason with a good eye.  And he's polite, all his crew are very well mannered and they go out of their way to make sure you're happy.

"Steve and Peri did an AMAZING job. Couldn't be happier. We noticed they missed a spot, which is understandable because there was so much to do. I called and he immediately scheduled to return and took care of it. He had good knowledge of how to clean and seal the stone. He even left us a gallon of solution to use to clean properly! High-end Italian designer furniture (Minotti) look brand new. Will definitely be calling again. Highly recommended."

Stone Countertops questions, answered by experts

Most homebuyers value standard counter height (34–36 inches) over bar height (40–42 inches).

Installing granite kitchen countertops costs about $3,250, ranging from $2,000 to $4,000, depending on the quantity and quality of the granite, use of granite tile or granite slabs, the type of granite, and its color and texture. Varieties of granite include:

  • Alaska white: $35 per square foot

  • Ubatuba: $30–$60 per square foot

  • Silver cloud: $35–$40 per square foot

  • Absolute black: $45–$60 per square foot

  • Black galaxy: $50–$70 per square foot

  • Blue Louise: $70–$100 per square foot

  • Crema Bordeaux: $80 per square foot

  • Solarius: $60 per square foot

The cost to install a quartz countertop is around $60 to $150 per square foot, so it’s more affordable than high-end stainless steel. The costs are similar if you’re looking for a natural stone, like quartzite.

Caesarstone® offers both quartz and porcelain counters, which are types of engineered stone countertops. Generally, you can expect to pay $50 to $200 per square foot for quartz countertops. If you decide to go with Caesarstone® quartz counters, then you’ll pay $75 to $125 per square foot, which is in the mid-range of what most quartz manufacturers charge.

Additionally, Caesarstone® is typically less expensive than quartzite, which is a natural quartz countertop that costs $80 to $220 per square foot. Depending on the Caesarstone® countertop you choose, you may spend significantly more on quartzite counters.

Yes, onyx is more expensive than granite. Its higher cost is due to its rarity, delicate nature, and the specialized care it requires. While granite countertops typically cost between $2,000 and $4,000, onyx is considered a premium material. Its luxurious, translucent appearance and unique ability to be backlit also contribute to the higher price. In terms of durability, granite is a hard, durable surface, whereas onyx is more delicate and can be damaged if not handled carefully.
