"Very responsive, Michael got back to me right away and was able to come out just a few days later. Tom and Jeff were great, they we're prompt, clean and efficient. One of the lights was installed but kept blowing the fuse when turned on, something was wrong with it out of the box, but it was fixed without any further issues. Wonderful! I will definitely use them again."

"We hired Sam and his professional team to remodel our master bathroom, guest bathroom, remove some lighting and to install recessed lights in the kitchen. We are very pleased with the work they did! All the bathrooms are gorgeous and the recessed lights are perfect. Sam and the crew worked at the house every day until the remodeling was completed. They worked very professionally and efficient. Definitely perfect craftsmanship. Sam was also easy person to work and talk with, very comit man to all of our requests. We’ve absolutely found our contractor!"

"Martinez made an appointment for an estimate on a Sunday. He was right on time. He gave me a price to remove my old flooring, repair some of the sub floor and install the new oak flooring which was supplied by me. He said it would take 2 1/2 days to complete and he could start on Wednesday. He arrived on time everyday and completed the job as promised. He and his helper were very polite and did an excellent job. I am pleased with the outcome and would use Martinez again."

"I found Precision Auto Works here on Angie's List.  They had great reviews and a 10% off labor coupon.  I decided to give them a try.  I pulled into the parking lot and was a little leery because it looks like you are parking next to a house.  Do not let this stop you.  You ARE supposed to park there.  Walk around the house to the back and you will find the office and see the shop.  It's a strange set up, but this place was awesome.
I have never had such great customer service from an auto mechanic.  I had an engine light on in my car and I needed an oil change.  A friend had pulled the error codes from my car and I was able to walk in with those.  The office spent several minutes with me discussing and looking up the codes.  They called the mechanic (Dave) in and he also spent quite a bit of time with me.  As a female, I have never felt so comfortable at an auto shop before.  I left my car and waited for an estimate.
A couple of hours later they had located the problem (an actuator) and gave me an estimate.  For parts, labor and a synthetic oil change, the estimate was $450.  $80 or so of that was my synthetic oil change (which is about average).   $175 was for the actuator part.  $200 for labor (with my 10% off coupon labor came to $180).  So anyway, right around $450.  Now here comes the good part.  They called a second dealership to check for the part so they could get the car back to me on the same day.  The other dealership wasn't going to have it available until the following day.  We're not sure what happened but the second dealership listed the part for $50.  They called me with the great news about the price drop and told me my car would be ready that day.  Do you know how easy it would have been for this mechanic to just charge me the full $450?  I never would have known the difference.   However, they did not do that.  They passed on the savings.  My final bill?  $301.
I felt they we're upfront and honest throughout the entire experience.  They mentioned they will be calling the first dealership to find out why they had such a huge price difference and mentioned they will not work with them in the future if they are gouging their prices.  It may have been an honest mistake somewhere along the way but either way, they are looking into it.  I love that they kept me in the loop and told me absolutely everything that was happening.  Not many shops would take the time to keep a customer so informed.
Try this place! You just might find "your" new mechanic!
**As as a side note, this experience has convinced me to renew my Angie's List membership.  I don't use the site very often but if I can find even one compnay a year that provides an experience like Precision Auto Works, then my membership pays for itself.

"Werner is an excellent craftsman. The quality of his work was wonderful. He had to work around our changed schedule for installation and was gracious about it. He cleaned up every time he came and was very careful to not damage anything in the area."

"When I finally decided to have security cameras installed around my home, I was full of trepidation. I was sure it would cost an exorbitant amount and the cameras would be difficult to access and view from my phone. I couldn’t have been more wrong. LA Security Cameras was recommended by a neighbor who was happy with his installation. I thought I would go with just a few cameras outside, but I ended up with full coverage both outside and inside for a price that was lower than what most of my friends had paid for their systems from other companies. It records 24/7 in HD, is easy to access from my phone, and provides full audio and visual surveillance daytime and night, without extra lights, and indicates when there is movement. George, the owner of the company; Robert, the head designer; and Louis, the head installer; attended to the installation personally, and could not have been more helpful. Every square inch of my property is now covered inside and out, and the system is a breeze to operate. The other techs who worked on the project, Andy, Georgie, and Jesse, were efficient, polite and neat. They left the site clean and stayed late each of the two days of installation to get the project done on time. After I had a chance to check all the views of the cameras, Georgie returned and adjusted each camera for the perfect angle and showed me numerous useful system features that I could easily manage from my phone. I recommend this company very highly!"

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

You don’t need to be an electrician to change a light bulb. You also don’t have to be an electrician to replace a light fixture with another compatible one. But, if you are installing a light fixture for the first time, it’s worth hiring a licensed professional for the job.

While a handyperson may charge a bit less, a qualified professional can make sure everything is up to code and working exactly as it should be. This is especially true for more complicated lighting projects.

Pendant lights make a worthy addition to your home lighting, and you can find them in almost every style. The average cost to install a light fixture is $550, and labor is the highest cost. You can DIY a light fixture replacement in an afternoon and save a couple of hundred dollars, depending on the fixture. If you’re not confident working with electrical components, an electrician in your area can easily install your pendant lighting for you.

Some types of fixtures might be a little trickier to remove than others, but they’re all relatively basic DIY jobs that should take an hour or less. Identifying the type of light you have is the first step in a safe, simple removal—learn how to remove recessed lights for a quick how-to on taking out one of the more common types of fixtures.

Flush mount or semi-flush mount fixtures are the best option for low ceilings. They closely hug or directly connect to the ceiling, offering ample room underneath so there won’t be a collision hazard when you’re walking through the room.

While under-cabinet lighting isn’t a requirement, it’s one of those features that, once you add it, you’ll wonder how you ever functioned without it. Ask any interior designer or lighting designer, and they’ll tell you that lighting can transform the look and feel of a room. Under-cabinet lighting is also very functional: You can use it to highlight a display of collectibles, illuminate your work surface during mealtime prep, and more.
