"When I called for an estimate I was surprised at how quickly Mr. Straus was able to come. I knew the carpeting I wanted and he was able to get it in a reasonable time. (The carpet had to be run specially by the manufacturer.) When my remodel slowed down, he was very flexible about re-scheduling the date of installation to meet my new needs. The installation was painless, with workers arriving exactly when they said they would, cleaning up after themselves, and making seams that were almost invisible, with a single exception. When I wrote Mr. Straus that my worry was not about the lack of invisibility of a single seam but the fear it might unravel with time. He guaranteed he would fix it if that happened. "Have to agree with the recent D reviewer. Went with them becuase they were the cheapest - floors look good but still rough to the touch so called them and hopefully they'll fix it and put another coat of sealant on. At least they were responsive without giving me a hard time. The smell is pretty awful, something I hadn't thought about, and thankfully we won't be moving in for another 2 weeks but it could be a major issue for someone who still lives in the house. Would go with a more expensive vendor next time.

UPDATE: I wrote a review last week and gave them a C because the floors were still rough and the smell was quite powerful. When I called, they were very responsive and came out and resealed the floors and now they look great and the smell is almost gone. I was impressed at how responsive they were. I would use them again after they came out and fixed the problem."

"He arrived about an hour late for his appointment and spent about 2 and half hours stretching my carpet. I would say he was 90% effective in accomplishing the job. He was pleasant and industrious and I would hire him again."
