"Steven and Miguel removed 3, 37 year old shrubs from my front yard and did a wonderful job. Both worked so hard and did a beautiful job. Price was very reasonably priced. Both of them were so nice Took them 2 days instead of 1 day because one of the shrubs grew all around the landscape irrigation pipe they really had a tuff job on that one but handled it very well."

"I received a notice on my front door from City of Roseville saying sprinkler in front lawn malfunctioning, water pouring out the side of the sprinkler and flooding gutter. They marked it with a blue flag. I called Joe Norgol/sprinkler doctor and explained the problem, he said he could come over at 5:30pm today. I agreed. He arrived promptly at 5:30pm. I requested he examine the entire sprinkler system to see if there were any other problems needing to be addressed. He did a thorough evaluation and made the necessary repairs and adjustments. He is very knowledgeable, he is a licensed contractor. He had the repairs completed and was finished in no time, it was 45 minutes altogether. The cost was $70 and I paid by check. He supplied an invoice of services rendered."

"

This is the third time Jerry has done repairs for my house.  He is always professional, prepared, and personable. When I called, since it wasn't a crisis, he came as soon as he had an opening.   He came and assessed my old hot water heater, determined it needed to be replaced (it was 15 years old).He explained the problems and options to me. He installed a new one, changing some of the old plumbing to meet current requirements, and as always, cleaned up.

"Overall it went great. Ivan did have to reschedule once but once he got here to do the work he got a lot more work done in the allotted 4 hour timeframe than I'd expected. The end product was a very well manicured hedge, bushes trimmed back, weeds pulled and lawn mowed. I was very impressed and would certainly use him again and also recommend his service."

"My initial impression of John was very positive.  He is very friendly and outgoing and was usually punctual.  His quote was well below other bidders and was one of three that actually submitted a bid.  Of the 12 contractors we contacted only 6 showed up and of those only 3 gave us a bid.  The initial contract was only for the retaining walls.  We told John that if we liked his work we would give him the patio paver job.
The work started right away and went on for about 2 weeks at a steady pace.  There was a lot of dirt to remove and the hill side was steep which made it difficult to get the dirt down to the street.  On the third week nobody showed up.  It took a few voice mails to John before he called me back and said they are working another job that week.  That seemed odd to me to pack up at one job, go to another, and then come back a week later.  The walls were finished the next week and looked great.  John started complaining about the cost of the dirt removal and wanted to discuss dump runs and extra payment.  I told him we can discuss that after the patio pavers were done.  He gave me an estimate right away for the pavers and said he could start in a week.  It took many phone calls and emails to finally get a start date a month later.  That was frustrating.  It only took them 2 days to get the pavers done.
I mentioned over and over to John that there was a lot of clean up to be done.  He kept giving me dates and then putting it off longer and longer.  A few weeks go by with no sign of John coming to clean up all the debris and rock piles that his guys left all over the yard.  There were also left over retaining wall blocks and pieces of concrete that were cut from an existing wall.  I finally called John and told him to forget about coming back and payment for extra dump runs and I ended up spending about 3 days cleaning everything up myself.
The work they did is some of the best I have seen, but the broken promises were very frustrating.  I really wanted to find a contractor I could use for numerous other projects and I was hoping it was John.  I asked him over and over to just keep me updated, but that failed to happen.

"They arrived approx as scheduled: were unable to repair the dripping faucet(suggested I replace it); determined that the replacement garbage disposal I had purchased was too large for the space and should be replaced with the same model as the old one and that there was already a water line for a refrigerator. I went out and bought the specified garbage disposal and they returned later in the day to replace it. They told me what water line to buy for the refrigerator but did not hook it up."

Lawn Irrigation questions, answered by experts

Bahia grass is not difficult to grow, but you might need patience for this slow-growing grass. Whereas some grass species, like Bermuda grass, can take 1 to 2 weeks to germinate, Bahia grass can take two or three times as long, making it seem like it won’t grow. But again, once your Bahia grass is established, it requires little maintenance. Its deep root system makes it a very durable grass that can bounce back after freezes and droughts.

There are several best practices you can do to keep your lawn looking healthy. Knowing when to water grass is among the most important. Having your sprinkler timer set to early morning is best because it gives your grass and plants enough time to absorb water before the sun and wind can evaporate it. To maximize a sprinkler’s impact, aerate your lawn once or twice per year. Doing this achieves better absorption and stronger root systems for your grass.

Adding seed to existing grass is often known as overseeding, as opposed to reseeding. Reseeding refers to the process of filling in bare or dying patches of lawn—or in some cases, full lawns—whereas reseeding supports existing lawns to prevent thinning. Overseeding is an ideal annual lawn care practice for grass fighting drought, disease, weeds, or pest issues.

Post-seeding care involves regular watering, mowing when appropriate, and occasional re-seeding to cover sparse areas.

While hydroseeding is designed for bare soil, it is possible to apply it over an existing lawn with certain adjustments. For the new seed to be successful, it needs good seed-to-soil contact to germinate and take root. Without proper preparation, most of the new seed will fail to establish and will die. To hydroseed over existing grass, first mow the lawn as low as possible, then loosen and clear any exposed soil. It is also recommended to use a finer mulch mixture in the hydroseed spray, which helps the seeds penetrate the existing turf and reach the soil without suffocating the established grass.
