"Brian initially came out to repair my existing broken AC unit. He went over what was wrong, and that being over 20 years old, the AC unit was going to be more expensive to maintain and may not run for very much longer. Brian was upfront with all of the costs for a new unit, which we decided to go with, and gave a very reasonable price for the service. Brian and Angel came out and got the job done quicker than expected. They will be my go-to for heating and air from here on out. Highly recommend!"

"Joe is hard working, diligent, and honest. I hired him 1) to put up an antenna for local tv service and 2) to fix poor wifi signals. TV was converted from cable rapidly using leftover wires. Saving $ not paying for cable and streaming off wifi. Great signal strength! WiFi was harder. He worked with ATT to determine my new iMac was sucking signals. He installed a more powerful router that solved wifi issues when iMac is off. Now I have to work with Apple to figure out how to manage the computer searching. I would not hesitate to call Joe back again. He is an excellent technician and a fine person. He is pretty busy, so sometimes it takes a few days before he can come out, but he is worth the wait."

"Not only did he tune it up but he showed me where my install had some serious code violations with fuse being the wrong amperage. Wiring to main box went through two fuse boxes. Emergency water backup line not installed. Water exhaust vent had open end that allowed some of the exhaust to vent into the closet. This guy was sharp. Caleb. How much better can it get than that. Thanks guys."

"I thought it was great. They were really nice. They actually came over 2 different times. They were supposed to come over 2 days before Thanksgiving and something came up, like they had an emergency at a different site. So we rescheduled to the day before Thanksgiving and time kind of ran out. So we scheduled a second day for them to come out, like a couple days after Christmas. The first time they came they installed one bathroom fan and the second time they installed the other bathroom fan.

They were very nice people, but we had to reschedule because the first time they weren't able to make it when they were originally scheduled for. However, they did call me in advance.  It wasn't like they just called that day and say hey we aren't going to be able to make it. They did say, Hey I'm so sorry, an emergency happened at another site, I was planning on being there tomorrow, can we push it back a day.

Exhaust Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

You’ll find the backdraft damper near the top of the range hood (where it connects to the ductwork). However, some range hoods also have a second damper, which is located close to the roof or exterior wall where the ductwork ends. If you don’t see a damper in either of these places, you might not have one.

Not all exhaust fans need venting, but most do. Bathroom fans and range hoods work best when vented outside to remove moisture, odors, and pollutants. Some ductless range hoods use filters instead, but they don’t remove air—just recirculate it. Proper venting ensures better air quality and efficiency.

Your bathroom exhaust fan shouldn't be loud. However, bath fans come in a wide variety of models, price points, and loudness characteristics, and yours may be louder or quieter than others you notice. Economy models tend to be the noisiest, with levels of 4.0 sones or more, which is about the sound of an electric shaver, while some high-end models can be barely audible.

Leaving an exhaust fan on constantly isn’t ideal. While it helps remove moisture and odors, continuous use will lead to wear and tear, higher energy costs, and even fire risks if the motor overheats. Bathroom fans should run for 20 to 30 minutes after a shower, while kitchen exhaust fans should be used only when cooking or clearing air.

Identifying the source of noises is your first step to soundproofing a room without overspending. Generally, sound comes from inside or outside of the house. Inside noises include creaking floors, living noises like TVs in the living room, cooking sounds, or kids being kids. External noises generally include incremental weather, disturbing neighbors, and street traffic. Inside noises require you to soundproof floors, ceilings, and doors, whereas outside noises may require you to soundproof your attic, windows, and walls facing the streets.
