"Today, Joshua's Field Expert, Jason Carteron (License #FR50278), came and took the time to listen to our concerns, took the extra time to eradicate our pest problem and even went above and beyond to remove all spider webs from our patio furniture. "Excellent job over several weeks. Consistently on time, efficient and fast, always cooperative and pleasant to work with. Various size crews from one to three depending upon the job to be done. We had extensive needed work done. We feel the cost was reasonable though fairly expensive at a total of $9,800 plus $39 for the initial inspection. We have a single story, 2,500 sq. ft. house with attached garage and rear separate patio enclosure. First, a licensed inspector went over the exterior, the interior, the huge unimproved attic, the garage interior and separate patio enclosure. He provided us with a detailed plan view identifying the many visual and suspected locations of both subterranean and drywood termites as well as dry rot. Two different kinds of environmentally approved chemical treatment were used for the two types of termites. They treated all around the outside of the house by boring holes every 12 inches through the concrete slab and inside through the wall and windowsill to inject for subterraneans, sprayed for drywood termites in attic, garage inside and all exterior fascias/shiplap/corbels along with patio wood posts. Cost $3,200. Two year warranty. In the attic they cleaned out all insulation along with field rat droppings, vacuumed, treated rafters for drywood termites, spray sanitized, closed some air duct open spots, checked for and sealed rat access point, re-installed new higher rated insulation (R38), set rat traps which were inspected several times over about three weeks & no rats found. Cost $4,800. They removed and replaced damaged wood members, splicing in new wood or filling areas with minor damage with wood filler and prime painted these areas. Cost$1,800."

Animal Removal questions, answered by experts

Simply put,  there are much better approaches than using mothballs. Mothballs contain chemicals that can easily permeate a frog's delicate skin, leading to health problems. But it's not limited to just frogs; other animals and the environment could also face negative impacts. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has taken action. It emphasizes the importance of adhering to label instructions for products like this and not moving forward with off-label use.

Many people have reported success in using dryer sheets to deter mice. This result is likely due to the strong scent that the rodents don’t find favorable. However, using dryer sheets alone may not be a foolproof solution, and it's often better to combine various preventive measures, such as traps, repellent sprays, and proper storage practices, to protect your car from rodent infestations more effectively.

In addition to a clean home, fleas dislike oils made from plants that are naturally bug-resistant or poisonous to bugs. That includes myrtle, mint, eucalyptus, and especially cedar oil. Common household remedies like baking soda, garlic and apple vinegar don’t have any effect on fleas. Don’t spray essential oils directly on your own skin or your pets (and their bedding, because it can be a skin irritant. Stay away from tea tree oil. In pure form it can be very toxic to pets. Always ask your vet if you have any questions.

When it comes to where raccoons nest, they can establish a home pretty anywhere. They may make their homes in crawl spaces, attics, and chimneys. Barn lofts, haystacks, and even storm sewers can double as raccoon dens. Also, they are known for setting up multiple dwellings for their use.

Take a few preventative measures to prevent mice from chewing your car wires. First, consider adding a few drops of a taste deterrent, such as pine-based floor cleaner or peppermint oil. Also, regularly starting your vehicle, even if you don't drive it frequently, can discourage rodents from nesting in the engine bay, as they prefer quieter and sheltered environments. Finally, consider leaving your car's hood up at night when parked in a garage, which makes the engine bay less inviting for rodents as it becomes less dark, warm, and comfortable.
