He was able to do the job right then, and as the price was reasonable, we went ahead with the service. He was careful with where he placed his ladder to get onto the first level of roof, and had the job done within about an hour. He was congenial in our conversations. I asked about whether he could clear out some dead branches on trees on our property, after noticing wording on his truck that indicated he also did tree service, and he gave an estimate for that, which will be done at a later date. He mentioned that two levels of our roof looked like the sand was gone from the roof shingles, which might lead to leaks before very long. He didn't mention the names of any roofers, so I don't think he was soliciting business for anyone, he was just letting us know what he'd observed. He ended up buying a wrought iron porch settee from us that he noticed was off to the side of the garage with other items around it that are slated for a garage sale one of these days, so that helped offset the cost of the service. We will definitely do business with Eagle Enterprises again in the future

"We had noticed some sparks and a red glow at the top of our chimney and were concerned. He came out and took a look and saw that there had been some resin build-up in part of our chimney. He was able to clean that away, along with a thorough cleaning of our flu and chimney. He recommended that we use more hardwood, instead of softer woods such as pine, so that there would be less resin building up in our chimney.
