"The team was very professional and worked with me on price to ensure that I had a good quality product and what I needed was complete. They removed face plates outlet covers the fridge, the oven and the washing machine machines to ensure all the walls were painted correctly. The house was about 1800 square feet and they used a quality paint to get it done. I will use this company again if I need anything else done on my house."

"After calling two other paint contractors, I fortunately got lucky and found the Ace Elite Painting company. Their price was fantastic, and their work was amazing also. The owner of the company, Jim, was hands on and called us during the process to make sure everything was going well. One of the window shades broke and Jim made sure it was fixed. The cleanup was terrific, and I would definitely hire them again. Ace Elite Painting is 5 star."

"I was really impressed with Steve and his crew on the work they did on painting the exterior of my smooth stucco house. Steve is very professional and honest, the price he quoted me was very reasonable and the work was excellent. Jerry, Steveâ s right hand man, is the best! Jerry was always working full speed and always showed attention to detail on all his work. I will highly recommend Victory Painting!"

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

The easiest and fastest way to remove paint from a surface is to use a chemical paint stripper to loosen the paint and then remove the paint using a paint scraper. You can also speed up the process by making the area as accessible as possible, which could include removing window sashes or taking doors off the hinges.

You can apply waterproofing over paint, but you won't get as much protection as you would if you painted the surface with a waterproof paint from the get-go. Not all waterproofing methods are compatible with painted surfaces, and they may not adhere well. This is especially true if the paint is glossy, old, or flaking. Waterproofing sealers are primarily meant to be applied to porous surfaces, like concrete, wood, or brick.

Acetone—such as the type in nail polish remover—is a solvent that can remove paint from many surfaces, including wood. However, the acetone will also remove any finish on the wood and can stain the wood below.

You can apply stain over peeling stain, but it’s not a good idea. Your old stain will get in the way of your new stain bonding to the wood, so you’re likely going to see the same issue again shortly after application. Your best option is to sand off the old stain and clean the surface thoroughly before applying new stain.

The best way to remove lead paint is by wet hand sanding and removing all dust and residue with a HEPA vacuum. Professionals may also strip and scrape lead-based paint with a paint scraper. In some cases, you may choose to have a pro encapsulate or enclose your lead-based paint surface by covering it with a sealant or a new material. You may also choose to replace the material altogether.
