09/23: I was informed by the Regional Manager that AZPC doesn’t need to make new stucco flush with the existing wall structure to meet contract terms. Their definition of "minor imperfections" allows for bulging patches, which create noticeable depth differences from the original stucco. My photos illustrate this issue, lighter areas indicating the original depth while darker patches represent AZPC's work. The area beneath the window is so prominent it can be seen from down the street, making my house appear inconsistent in color. When I expressed my concerns, the RM said he would be fine with such work on his home, which is hard to believe. I was also told I can't escalate my complaint further, and that the owner monitors reviews, suggesting awareness of these issues and acceptance of the subpar quality. This is disappointing if it's true. I have filed a complaint with the ROC, but the vague requirements for stucco make a resolution unlikely, as AZPC refuses to take responsibility. * I hired Arizona Painting Company for exterior painting and stucco work and had a very disappointing experience. I do not recommend them due to inconsistent work quality, poor communication, and flawed oversight. Despite the promises on the AZPC's website of expertise, quality control, communication, and focus on customer satisfaction, my experience was quite the opposite. The estimator's inaccurate quote led to unexpected costs. The foremen lacked attention to detail and appropriate skills for my specific job, while the manager tried to charge extra for something already in the contract. The General Manager, who I was involved after struggling to gain traction on getting issues fixed with the manager, initially promised oversight but failed to follow through. My job had two elements: stucco work and exterior painting. Because most customers need painting only, I'll comment on my experience with both aspects separately. Painting: The initial crew made multiple errors, including neglecting some weatherproofing and prep work outlined in the contract. The second crew did not fully correct the caulking mistakes (ie: missing the entire window), deviated from the contract specifications, and painted lines crooked. Despite having a foreman, I had to push the manager to ensure the job met contract terms and avoid being charged to fix deviations. NOTE: The foreman inspecting the final work does the work, so the customer needs to advocate for themselves if contract steps are missed or work quality is lacking. Because of the inconsistent quality of work, I can't be sure it was all done correctly. I'd like to say the warranty can care for it, but a warranty is only as helpful as the company who fullfills it. Stucco: The stucco work was problematic from the start. The first crew didn't show up and subsequent residential crews made poor-quality repairs. The crews left the work exposed multiple times during monsoon. This could've been avoided if crews brought the correct amount of material with them. The texture was uneven and unsightly so I involved the manager and then the GM. Although the General Manager promised to fix these stucco issues, he changed his own plan multiple times, including hiring an unvetted company to fix the stucco. The GM ultimately assigned a commercial crew to retexture the area. There was no final oversight from him directly as promised. I was also charged extra for what one foreman said was a miscalculated area in the original estimate, and the manager’s offer of financing to pay for the additional cost felt exploitative and the manner greedy. I agreed to the additional charge but believe I was overcharged ultimately. I think the company charged me for time, not necessarily the size of the area fixed. The crew did not use time effectively. In the end, I have fallen stucco painted onto my foundation, a bulging patch, and ruined landscape rock from stucco waste. I'm disappointed with AZPC, from the GM down, in not providing the experience their website promises. Potential customers should research other options.
