"Roger provided a free quote to install a 240v outlet and electric car charger in our garage. The quote was acceptable and Roger put us on his install list after half of the quote was paid. The installation was done in a few hours and the car charger has been working great for the two months that it has been installed. The installation on the outside and in the garage looks clean and professional."

"My old gaspac HVAC quit working. I searched the internet to find the highest SEER 5 ton units. I contacted several dealers and Done Rite gave me a free estimate and they had the best price. They installed the unit a couple days later and I couldn't be happier. Very professional install and answered all the questions I asked."

"Chris and his team did a great job in determining and fixing the issue of my squeaky and loose floor boards. They worked quickly and professionally to make the necessary installation and did a great job overall. I would recommend them to anyone and would hire them again."

"Fantastic!  Jim was knowledgable when providing us an estimate and brought samples with him. He was timely and clean and did an excellent job installing two Solatubes in our kitchen and one in our closet.  He put in an extra effort to accommodate us -  including squeezing us onto his schedule and making sure he could get the light kits to fit into a tight space.  The results exceeded our expectations and the results are like "night and day".  Would highly recommend this company and, in particular, Jim.

"Mr. Dilts installed a Generac whole home stand-by generator for me and did an excellent job. He kept me in the loop at all times, was always here when he said he would be, and the install is super neat. Can't say enough good about Mr. Dilts. He's now on my quick dial for any electrical work. I totally recommend him for anything electrical, especially a generator install."

"We are very pleased with our new kitchen. One of the cabinets needed a complete rebuild after it was installed and they did a wonderful job. We still have some work to be done but I am sure it will be done well. In the past we have also had a bathroom remodel done and were very pleased."

"So so I wanted 2 light fixtures installed and there was problems with both, Nick ended up repairing 2 lights instead. I am not allowed by my husband to use unlicensed contractors anymore and was so surprised that Angie's list would recommend unlicensed handymen. How do I in the future be sure I am only hiring licensed contractors?"

"I've used this company over five years for my 1949 rental house so always had plenty of repairs. Other jobs over the years were replacement of hot water heater, toilet repair, painting and drywall work, tile repair and replacement, light fixtures repairs, door and lock replacement, including the fish pond care and pump issues.  I"ve never been unhappy with the work. Oscar is always professional and timely and if busy, he let's you know when he will be there and keeps his word.  I gave him keys to doors and gates and I knew I could depend on him when I wasn't able to be there. He has good attention to detail and  never disappointed. "

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

Security lights perform the best when placed in entry points like garages, front doors, porches, and backdoors. Landscaping lighting like pathway lamps will also make it more difficult to conceal themselves on their way to your home, increasing the likelihood that you or a neighbor will spot them before they arrive.

Halogen and LED light bulbs are the most common bulbs for recessed lighting, but you don’t need any special type. LEDs are growing in popularity because they’re the most energy-efficient, which can help you save money in the long run and minimize how often you need to change your light bulbs.

LED lights are certainly more energy-efficient, using 75% less energy than incandescent bulbs—this can help you save on your utility bills during what is an already expensive holiday season. In addition, LED lights last much longer than incandescent bulbs, about 25% longer. That said, they are also a bit more expensive than incandescent Christmas lights, and emit a bluish hue which some people don't like, compared to the golden glow of an incandescent bulb.

There are four main types of lighting used in homes: ambient, task, accent, and decorative. Within these categories, there are a number of fixtures to choose from including ceiling-mounted lights, floor lamps, under-cabinet lights, track lighting, and more.

Choosing the fixture that’s right for you depends on your home design and the area you’re looking to illuminate.

Depending on your preference, a 100W bulb could be too bright for a bedroom. Most people prefer softer, relaxing bedroom lighting using a lower wattage bulb, around 40W to 60W for incandescent or the equivalent in LED (around 450 to 800 lumens). For adjustable brightness, consider using dimmable bulbs or layered lighting with bedside lamps and overhead lights to create a comfortable and versatile lighting environment.
