"Bernardo & Son were hired on the spot because they were quick to take my call. No machines. They expedited their arrival to provide us with an honest quote. They were extremely adamant in getting to work to repair our stucco and damaged parapets. It was completed at a great affordable price. We’d give 10 stars, if we could. These are the before-repair pictures. We plan on using them again for future stucco repairs."

"Jose Abril and his very experienced dad and brother diagnosed and fixed a stucco leak on a window and ledge on my house. Jose’s professionalism and his family’s skill, along with an excellent price, scheduled quickly and finished the job in a day. They left the work site clean. Jose is an exceptional communicator and I would hire this business again."

"Carlos and his team at Painting Pro's did an excellent job painting and repairing the exterior of our home. He fixed our stucco and trim that had been worn and damaged, and gave our home a new coat of paint and a fresh look. He was very kind and a good communicator throughout our business together. I highly recommend painting pro's for the best in service and quality."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can screw directly into stucco. Only do so if the item you are installing is a permanent fixture. Drill a pilot hole into the stucco using a masonry or concrete bit, then drive in the screw with a power drill or screwdriver.

Damage is often caused by moisture, impact, or settling. Regular maintenance prevents significant issues.

Masonry screws are the best option to be used on stucco. They’re thicker and made to penetrate harder surfaces like concrete and cinder blocks. Fluted masonry screws work the best because they create a stronger grasp thanks to the lines on their shafts. If you’re working on exterior stucco, use galvanized screws to prevent corrosion.

The best adhesive that works on stucco is usually a product specified for use on stucco or concrete surfaces. The adhesive will need to be strong to grip the stucco, but should also wipe away clean when used in a temporary application. You can also consider using super glue or hot glue on stucco.

Cracks in the chimney can be very serious, depending on their location and size. Even small cracks can become serious over time if left unrepaired. Cracks allow heat and moisture to deteriorate your chimney and harmful carbon monoxide gas to seep into your home. Small cracks can often be caulked, while large cracked sections may require full replacement.
