"While buying a home in Sun City West our inspection reported that attic had blown insulation blocking all the soffit vents. East Valleys crew went to the home and spent hours checking the issue in the attic, in the August heat no less, and let us know that the inspector was mistaken and that the vents were free and clear. They even checked other houses in the vicinity to investigate further. Two other companies who refused to enter the attic ("I know what attics look like") proposed a small number of external OHagin vents instead which wouldn't have solved the issue if it existed. East Valley saved us thousands in unnecessary rework where other firms tried to take advantage. Thank you Mike and your crew!"

We do full bathroom remodels. If you're only looking to remodel part of your bathroom, like converting a tub to a shower or vice versa, we can do that too!

"The short version of my opinion on this company can be summed up in a single word. Sloppy. So many aspects of the remodeling job were done in a sloppy manner that I cannot recommend them to anyone. Here are a few of the items that come to mind. The deposit on the job was charged twice and wasn’t refunded until I called and complained. Next, we waited eight weeks for the material to be sent with no updates on the order then suddenly we were only given one days’ notice that the workers were ready to start the job. When the workers did arrive, they rushed through the job and as a consequence, put gouges in the bathroom drywall, they didn’t install the faucet hardware correctly, and the doors were not installed correctly as one just stopped rolling on its track the next day. Also, we had to argue with them about the features of the unit including shelving, grab bar, and height of the enclosure to the point where we had to show them the contract. They were so far on the installation that they ended up not even being able to install the grab bar. The shelves were installed, but only glued in place. It is amazing that they didn’t review the contract before beginning the job. When I complained to the owner about this, he told me that I should have waited and not done the project in August when it was 110 degrees and that I should have waited for the “fake COVID-19 issue” to go away. The last comment was because we insisted that anyone who was working in the house wear a mask. Again, we waited eight weeks for the replacement to the original door and the owner was irritated that I called to ask about the status of the door. Just as before, we were only given one days’ notice before the door was replaced. When the worker came by to replace the door he didn’t install it correctly again. It stopped rolling on its track the next day. After repeated requests and statements from the owners stating that it would be fixed, no one has come out to fix their sloppy workmanship. Bottom line, I wish I would have never dealt with this company as there are so many other reputable remodeling companies out there. Perform your due diligence before contracting with someone so you won’t have the same experience."

We manufacture Advanced Energy Panels (AEPs). AEPs are a retrofit for historic windows or any window people can't afford or don’t wish to replace. AEPs are interior window insulating panels and can be installed in any building –office, home or industrial. AEPs have a higher insulation and air sealing rating and provide greater comfort than most replacement windows, yet they are a fraction of the cost. AEPs are custom made to fit over existing openings, protecting, preserving and improving your existing windows.

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Before starting insulation work in Tucson, schedule a home energy audit to identify problem areas and have your HVAC system inspected. Research available rebates and confirm if permits are required for your project. Prepare attics or crawl spaces by clearing belongings and addressing any pest or moisture concerns. Plan for optimal timing—October through April is ideal—and coordinate with your contractor about schedules, attic ventilation, and post-project cleanup.

Helpful?

For Tucson’s hot, dry conditions, radiant barriers in attics help reflect intense sun, while blown-in cellulose is effective for retrofitting existing walls. Closed-cell spray foam provides excellent air sealing and moisture resistance, especially in crawl spaces. Unfaced fiberglass batts suit new construction. Prioritize materials with high R-values and ensure proper attic ventilation to maximize energy efficiency and indoor comfort throughout AZ’s long cooling season.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Tucson often overlook the importance of radiant heat control, skip essential air sealing, or compress insulation, which reduces effectiveness. Common missteps include installing unnecessary vapor barriers, neglecting attic ventilation, and ignoring signs of moisture or pest issues. Attempting DIY insulation during peak summer or hiring based solely on the lowest quote can also lead to poor results and future energy inefficiency.

Helpful?

In Tucson, be wary of insulation contractors who avoid providing detailed written estimates or won’t specify insulation types, R-values, or air sealing methods. Watch for those who use high-pressure sales tactics, lack a verifiable local address, or refuse to share references. Avoid anyone demanding full payment upfront or unwilling to discuss project timing, necessary permits, or how their approach addresses Tucson’s unique climate needs.

Helpful?

Insulation projects in Tucson deliver immediate benefits like lower cooling bills, more stable indoor temperatures, and improved comfort. Over time, you’ll notice increased home value, reduced strain on your HVAC system, and better indoor air quality. Enhanced air sealing helps block dust and allergens, while proper insulation protects against monsoon moisture and sun damage, ensuring your home stays efficient and resilient for years to come.
