Guys were great. Came ahead of scheduled work to pick up and remove mess in our front yard. Kept in good communication and came as scheduled to remove three trees and stumps. Left everything clean and tidy and we’re very professional. Would call again in a heartbeat.

Outstanding. Their estimate was same day I called for estimate. Work began three days later. They came on time and worked very professionally and diligently. Cleaned up frequently including the pool that had some leaves and branches being trimmed. Price was very reasonable and definitely hiring them for regular landscaping work and recurring tree trimming. My go to company now. Definitely worth the call and their effort. You won’t go wron

Fantastic, the guys arrived not just on time but early and did an amazing job. They work quickly and with high respect to our yard and my neighbors yard as well. The clean up was just as perfect as the job they did. I will rehire Garfield Tree Services for future jobs and also spread the word to others

  • The Hungry Tree LLC
Excellent, I have worked with the Hungry Tree for over fifteen years. Juan Martinez, the owner and arborist, personally oversees the trimming of the trees and the selection of the specimen trees for planting. It is a pleasure to work with a person who really cares about the plants and the customer.

Always excellent service. Fair pricing and highly professional. Exceedingly knowledgeable about plants and trees including diseases and bugs and the ability to correct the problems. Know how to prune and crown clean trees for their health. Deep root feeding excellent. They leave your property very clean when work is complete. Have used this company for 20 years. Highly recommended

JMP is fantastic. They showed up on time to give me an estimate. They listened to what I needed and gave guidance and suggestions regarding the tree I needed trimmed. They arrived on time the day of the trimming, let me know they were there and worked quickly, safely and very clean. They took great care to make sure none of the larger branches would hit the house. They cleaned up completely when they were done and ask me to check that tree to make sure I was satisfied with the work. I would definitely hire JMP again. Great company with even greater people

Tree Service FAQ

  1. How much does it cost to remove a tree?

Answer: Typically, tree removal costs between $200 and $2,000. Tree removal costs vary widely based on the number of trees being removed, the height of each tree, the diameter of each tree trunk, and accessibility to the tree. Smaller trees are usually less expensive to remove than larger ones, as are those that are more easily accessible.

  2. Do you need a permit to cut down a tree?

Answer: In many areas, you don’t need a permit to cut down a tree on your own private, residential property. But some municipalities may require tree removal permits for conservation purposes or to comply with local ordinances. When you hire a tree removal pro, they’ll be able to tell you whether you need a permit for your specific tree removal project.

  3. When is a good time to trim trees?

Answer: In most regions, the best time to trim your trees is during the winter months. During the active growing season (spring through fall), trimming your trees can leave them more vulnerable to disease and less likely to thrive. During the winter months, when trees are dormant, trimming them will cause less stress and leave them ready to grow again in the spring.

  4. What is the average cost to cut a tree down?

Answer: Tree removal costs between $200 and $2,000 per tree. Establishing an average cost can be difficult because each tree will be assessed and priced based on factors like height, trunk diameter, and accessibility. In general, smaller trees cost less to remove than larger trees, as do trees that are more accessible.

  5. How much does it cost to service a tree?

Answer: The cost to service a tree is typically between $430 and $1,320. The cost to service a tree depends on several factors, including what exactly you’d like done, the tree’s height, its health, the location of the tree, and local labor costs. The national average cost for tree services is $865. Tree trimming isn’t necessary for all trees but can improve their health and longevity by encouraging new growth.

  6. What is the difference between tree trimming and pruning?

Answer: While tree trimming and tree pruning might appear similar to the untrained eye, they serve different purposes. Tree pruning is used to thin a tree by removing unnecessary or burdensome branches. Tree trimming promotes healthy growth by trimming but not removing branches.
