"We are very pleased and satisfied with the cabinets and service. We shopped for cabinets while on our house hunting trip in November and compared three cabinet companies. We chose Triton because of the quality, very clean and modern manufacturing facility, responsiveness of quote and the personality of the people we met at the company. The cabinets were ordered during our househunting trip and were installed the day after we moved in. The installation was performed professionally and the installers were very courteous, neat and cleaned up after the job was complete. We are so pleased with the product and installation that we decided to get a quote for additional garage cabinets as well as interior closet systems. "

"We had a complete closet demo and remodel. Complete Tub fixture replacement. Downstairs replacement of baseboards of center island & pantry baseboards. These were just a start of the items we wanted to begin. After the visit, we were told that we would have an email with examples of closets and associated estimates. No email or phone call was provided after the visit. Very odd considering that they were recommended so highly in the community.
---Do not know if this is any relevance or not, but we are an LGBT family and it very obvious to us while making the appointment that this is a Christian organization. This made no difference to us, as we just wanted the jobs completed.---
Update: The owner and his daughter personally visited us this evening and profusely apologized for his company dropping the ball. He reiterated that his company does not discriminate and asked for a second chance to earn our business. He seemed genuinely upset and wanted to assure us that he valued our business. We believe him and want to encourage others to give this company a chance to earn your trust. "
"In 2011, my loving husband was diagnosed with ALS, a progressive, neurological, terminal disease for which there is yet no cure. Over time, he lost all mobility in his arms and hands. Last year, he lost the ability to walk. We realized then, that renovating our home - which I had dreamed about doing for years - was no longer a luxury, but a neccessity. Having been a multiple award winning set designer for our local performing arts scene -- although he can no longer execute, or build his drawings as he once did -- my man still knows his stuff! And so, though many contractors offered expertise in ADA compliance, their design ideas were less than creative according to my husband's standards. But finally, thanks to Angie's List, we got lucky when we found Don Wilkerson and his company, CKBR, listed on the website. Not only was Don professional, friendly and courteous during our interview, we found him also to be quite sympathetic for our situation, which, over time, has proven true and sincere. A good repore matters a lot to me, and thankfully, my better half really liked his ideas. We started with our master bed/bath remodel, and discovered Don's unique talent for creating space where there is none. He added a linen closet in the bathroom, and a walk-in closet in the bedroom -- while somehow creating approximately four extra feet of open space to the combined suite. We were so delighted with the redo -- and his hard-working, awesome staff --that we called them back when we were ready to move on our second project: our very tiny and lack-luster galley kitchen. We needed the center aisle widened to accommodate the new wheelchair. The end result?Beautiful! The room has been transformed into a kitchen Martha Stewart would be proud of. And no more spacial hindrances for Hubby, who can now easily roll in from around the corner to see what's cooking -- now that I am cooking again! A clean, well-lit, colorful, peaceful and spacious atmosphere is the ultimate motivator! CKBR and Don have brought beauty into our home, and that should say it all. Next up? Entryway widenings and french doors, of course!
There are a few reasons custom closets are expensive: materials used, the luxury factor, and time to build. The people who can afford custom closets are those who can afford increased rates, and construction workers and contractors know this and charge accordingly. The time to build custom closets is substantial, especially if expensive material is being used or intricate details (like carved wood) are added to the project.
Yes, many providers offer design consultations to help optimize and maximize space, functionality, and usage. It is recommended to confirm the availability of this service with your specific installer or contractor.
Costs range from $2,000 to $10,000, depending on size, materials, and design complexity.
Some features and upgrades you can add (some of which increase the closet’s value) are: modular shelving, motion-activated lighting, climate control, custom lighting, cigar humidors, revolving shoe racks, jewelry shelves, custom woodwork, and built-in laundry hampers. While only truly luxury closets have all of these, many custom closets have at least one special feature listed above.
Tiny house living requires creative solutions to the one biggest issue: space. Many people in tiny houses find life most manageable if they practice minimalism. Eliminating excess items and clutter makes the living space feel bigger, which can be a significant mood booster. It can also be challenging to get utilities arranged for a tiny house, and building and zoning codes can and often do present unique challenges to overcome.
