"It went excellent!!!! They gave us the estimate and proposal and they stuck right to it. They arrived EVERY morning as we were told they would be. Bright and early. Cleaned everything so it could be painted as promised in the bid. They finished in the time frame I needed to get it done by and they were!!!! (I even added things to be done) Patricia was great to work with, and the workers were so professional and courteous to us the whole time. I WOULD DEFIANTLY HIRE THEM AGAIN!!! Putting up new wallpaper tends to take one to two days, depending on the size of the area, whether old paper needs to be removed, and if there is any damage to walls that needs to be smoothed over or fixed.

The two most common reasons wallpaper does not stick are a lack of preparation and improper adhesive. Be sure to use the wallpaper paste designed for the type of paper you choose. Before beginning your project, make sure the walls are clean and free of dust, grease, and oils.

To layer wallpaper over wallpaper, inspect your existing wallpaper for problem areas. Damaged wallpaper should not be covered. If it’s okay to proceed, prep by turning off the electricity and removing any outlet and switch covers. Dust your walls and lightly rinse them to prevent the existing paper from peeling. Apply primer, then apply your new wallpaper.

You may end up with extra wallpaper once your project is finished. Hang on to that wallpaper, as you may need to use it to patch up areas that get damaged later on. If you have a lot of excess wallpaper, try getting creative with it. You can use it to line the inside of a cabinet or drawers, for example.

While many types of peel-and-stick wallpaper can be used in bathrooms, they may not adhere as well in humid environments as traditional wallpaper. For best results, choose a vinyl or polyester-based wallpaper, as these materials are more durable and water-resistant. Good ventilation is also crucial to reduce humidity from steamy showers. In bathrooms with high moisture and inadequate ventilation, even high-quality peel-and-stick wallpaper is likely to peel over time.
